Becao (20m) and Pavard (50m) or Scalvini (50m) are even bigger over entire cost of bastoni. your zhang ready to give massive budget like those?
Of cource if you change the players and numbers like that and you can value Bastoni to 5 euros and Becao €60m you will have to pay more than just renew Bastoni
But if you run the numbers like I wrote sell Bastoni for ~55-60m and manage to get Pavard or Scalvini for ~35-45m you will get somewhere ~10-20m profit with same or even lower wages?
I think Bastoni want’s big money as there is lot of interest for him?
I also think Scalvini is more doable as he is Italian and still young, so staying Italy is more likely than going abroad. I think he would also come here close to same wages as Bastoni is currently earning, so we might see savings there than renew Bastoni this summer with bigger wages…
We could also try to loan him (Scalvini) with obligation and split the cost for next 3-5 years, lowering costs for next summer + ad one/two youth players to lower the price. There was talk about including Fabbian to that deal valued ~€15m.
I did not talk about getting Becao for 20m, but Ndicka for free to replace Bastoni.
