I spoke highly of him about a year ago. At the time we could've bought him for 20-25 millions. Our genius management prefered injured Gosens for the same amount of money.

Today Gakpo probably costs more than 50-60 millions which means we already missed the train.

Marcus Thuram’s agent has told Inter that the 25-year-old has no plans of leaving his current club in the January transfer window

That`s basically our only shot of signing Thuram - if Bayern don`t want him. But isn`t this report conflicting that they offered him 7M?

Why would they not sign him? They are doing well without a towering forward + Thuram is not short, either. Has plenty of time to learn new role.

The best scenario is sending Lukaku back to Chelsea in January and sign Thuram. I read Chelsea is short on forwards. They can get their fatass back. We can think about selling Correa later in the summer.

There's no way Gladbach let Thuram go. They are involved in a CL qualification race and Thuram is integral to their challenge. Unless we can give them enough money to potentially offset not making the CL, which I doubt we can, it makes no sense for them to sell.

Similarly, they seem adamant about holding on to Sommer & Bensebaini rather than cashing in.
