Seriously though, Aouar is reportedly available for roughly 15-20m, what are we waiting for?

Can't be the injuries, he played 45 games this season and 33 the one before with at least 10 goal contributions in both. To rotate with Barella and Hakan he'd be perfect.

We need minimum one LCM/RCM and a Brozo sub, and Gagliardini will probably stay as the 6th midfielder.
@Revv

I have heard he has attitude issues. Personally couldn't care less though, our squad if full of such pussies.

Surprised we are not linked to Lucas Torreira. Probably too expensive for a sub?

Fiorentina fucked up this transfer and they seem to have lost him, unless there is a special under-the-table plot against Arsenal here:
Fiorentina are not set to sign Lucas Torreira this summer, despite his pivotal role in helping them secure European football on loan this season.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Fiorentina wouldn’t activate their €15m option to sign the midfielder. Instead, he’ll return to Arsenal, at least for the time being.

Torreira’s agent has spoken to Fiorentina News to explain that the issue was that the Serie A side came to an agreement with Arsenal and with Torreira and then tried to renegotiate with both of them. :yao:

“The basic problem is that Lucas (Torreira) earned a higher salary at Arsenal than he took in Florence,” Bentancur said.

“When we agreed on the €1.5 million loan with Arsenal last summer, I got from the English club that Fiorentina would not pay that money if Lucas played at least 25 games (he reached 31 in the league). With this, we set the option-to-buy at €15 million, payable in 6 installments of €2.5m by 2025.

“We had agreed on a (player) contract with Fiorentina for the coming seasons of €2.7 million net a year. Fiorentina, however, now wanted to lower both [Torreira’s] salary and the cost of the transfer. We couldn’t accept, and Arsenal didn’t accept either. Now Lucas has a contract with the Gunners until June 30, 2023.”

This is a bit of a shock, given the success of Torreira’s loan spell. The midfielder made 35 appearances and won three Fiorentina Player of the Month awards in the last four months. On the final day of the Serie A season, Torreira won a late penalty to help Fiorentina make it 2-0 against Juventus.

The win secured European football for Fiorentina for the first time in six years, and they’ll play in the Europa Conference League next season.

When you factor in the huge sale of Dusan Vlahovic and the prospect of European football, Fiorentina had no justification to haggle over a €15m signing on €2.7m wages.

But they did, and now they won’t get the player. There should be plenty of outside interest in an in-form 26-year-old coming off the back of a strong season.

There is also Nahitan Nández who can cover both RM and CM roles. Cagliari have been finally relegated, so it might be the right time to sign him.

Nández is represented by the same agent and has the same age [26], but would probably earn considerably less. If a big offer comes for Dumfries, I could see the club signing him.

Agree, after they fuck us and then let Bbelan easy win I dont want any of that cunts in our club.

For fuck sake! With this retarded attitude we deserve all the shit Milan throws at us!
You know that Sassuolo won also against Milan at Meazza!

Once again! We lost the scudetto ourselves! We had it in hand - 7 points advantage in winter. Dominated the game against Milan until those brainfarts! And still we could have won it with an easier schedule! But we fucked up againt a Bologna, who was more or less in vacation!
Pointing the finger at Sassuolo is a pathetic retarded attitude!

La Repubblica: Inter and Roma are interested in signing Salernitana midfielder Ederson this summer Italian media report.

Both clubs are keen on the 22-year-old to replace outgoing players in the summer transfer window, in the Nerazzurri’s case Arturo Vidal.

The Brazilian only made the switch to Salernitana during the January transfer window, but he has already impressed with his performances to help the Campanian side improbably avoid relegation.

Ederson would not come cheap, with the Granata valuing him at around €20 million, but Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is a big admirer who could push for his arrival, whilst Roma would also consider him a major target to replace outgoing midfielder Jordan Veretout ahead of next season.
LOL what are these guys from Repubblica smoking?!

His market value is 5M. For 15M you can buy proven Torreira or Nandez.

I like Ederson. Very interesting player and one of the main reasons Salernitana stayed up. Obviously nowhere near ready for Inter and he isn't worth the price they're asking but he's certainly someone to keep an eye on.

There's no such thing as market value.

I like this option, and its smart business.

It would be so typical for Inter to get, after getting rid of Gaglia and Vecino, worse players than them. It sounds imposibble but when its Inter than its nula e impossibile.

You mean selling Denzel to save Sandro and getting Nandez?

Gazzetta.it report that Kristjan Asllani of Empoli is the primary candidate but that there are several possibilities lined up.

Asllani’s profile is very much admired by the Nerazzurri as a player capable of filling in for Brozovic when he is injured, suspended, or needs a rest, although Empoli would ask at least €15 million and AC Milan will rival them for his signature.

Meanwhile, Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a target to bolster the midfield, and the Armenian’s versatility could mean that he provides backup across all of the midfield positions.

Like Asllani, PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes would cost around €15 million, but he would command very high wages, while it remains to be seen if Atletico Madrid would be willing to let the out-of-favour Rodrigo De Paul go on loan given that they paid €35 million just last summer.

Another Roma player in the form of Jordan Veretout it also on Inter’s list, whilst Gonzalo Villar is a third Giallorossi player (on loan at Getafe for the second half of last season) being considered, as is Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulmand.

As far as internal solutions go, Stefano Sensi is a possibility but is seen as too injury-prone, whilst Lucien Agoume is seen as too young and not purely a regista like Brozovic despite his obvious potential.
GdS have been full of shit this year, so take this with a pinch of salt. However Biasin also seems to have the same discourse:

Asked whether the Nerazzurri could be working to sign Lucas Torreira from Arsenal as a backup for Marcelo Brozovic, Biasin said that “They’re not following him. The club are working on Asllani, who Ausilio especially likes. Empoli must be convinced however.”

Of Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, he said that “They seem to be interested in him on a free transfer. However, right now the priority is to sign Asllani for the future of midfield.
I assume Inter will prefer to deal with club that will take our player(s) in exchange + cash.

For example if they ask 15M for Asllani, Esposito might be evaluated at 8-10M.
