Naby Keita has been offered to Inter on a free transfer for the summer transfer window, but the Nerazzurri are not interested in his signature

FCIN confirmed that his wages and injury issues would make an move unlikely. There is little interest from Inter in signing the Liverpool midfielder.

My bet is that Roberto Pereyra [32 years old captain of Udinese] is coming on a free.

Seriously? This type is used by many members on the forum and you suddenly have an issue with my post?
Yeah and I hate it every time.

If we talk about the subject. Why do you go with such strawman arguments here? No one has said we should sign only Serie A proven players.

And if we continue with Aouar, why would we go after him? If Roma ends up being the club signing him for free, that tells everything about the player.

I didn't follow this thread, so have no idea who we are after, but I hope we sign some brazilian midfielder at last. Can't complain about our starting trio, but honestly I am tired of watching the pragmatic football we play. Can't give names, but A technically gifted and creative Brazilian is all I want.

What strawman arguments? It's simply a criticism for club's transfer policy.

@IM21 wondered why we don't go after players like Aouar and i simply replied to that. When you don't even consider Aouar or similar players from abroad but you hold talks with the agent of Roberto Pereyra, a 33-year old who was never anything more than average at any point of his career and he mostly played for midtable clubs, it's solely about the league. Pereyra is only considered because he playes in Serie A.

And before we dismiss Roma's level it's good to remember our starting midfielder came from Roma.

But you are making an argument as if we only sign Serie A proven players. During Marotta time we've signed players without any Serie A experience: Lukaku, Lazaro, Moses, Young, Eriksen, Hakimi, Dumfries, Onana.

What makes you say we didn't consider Aouar? Maybe we did but have scratched the idea for a reason or another. We can't know these reasons.

Inter Milan are in pole position to sign Club Brugge’s €12 million rated Canadian international wingback Tajon Buchanan this summer

€25-30M for Dumfries sounds realistic, finally some credible figures

He's very green, mostly known for his pace. I think he has the potential to play in top leagues but not to be a bonified starter at a top club. 10-12 million is a fair assessment, lots of room for profit later on.

Most of these players were Conte requests and the rest were already considered quality players. Even Dumfries had impressed in Euro and Onana was really a no brainer as a free agent. He was considered a quality GK, who had to work on few things to become a top one, and the only concern was about his lack of playing time after his ban.

But when it comes to players who could come with a risk we usually choose the ones who play in Serie A.

I don't think we considered Aouar because there were never links with him. Same thing with Dahoud. Instead there have been many reports about Keita, who was eventually rejected (thankfully), and about the talks with Pereyra agent.

Because our scouting sucks.
I said it again. When sign Inter a green player from a lower league or lesser club and you can see it was good scouting. And I don`t mean a player who is a hit from the first game. You need to go back to Brozovic nearly 10 years ago. Otherwise, nothing to remember (or you can remember the catastrophe like Barbosa or Joao Mario).
