I wouldn't mind a Kessie-Correa swap for the sole reason that we'd be able to offload Correa.

Frattesi, although a completely differently player, would be preferred of course. Not affordable tho.

The Brozovic out/Frattesi in rumour is so beyond nonsensical I can see us doing it. You couldn't find two more different midfielders.

I also don't rate Frattesi all that high, and fear he is one injury away from losing a lot of his attributes. I see a lot of running with his head down.

I think it has to do with Calhanoglu being able to play in Brozovic's role. I guess the management is looking at it from the perspective that we already have two players in that role even if Brozovic leaves (Calhanoglu, Asllani), and Brozovic has one of the highest wages in the team, in addition to being on the wrong side of 30 and becoming more injury prone.

Not saying I would do the deal, but I can see where the management is coming from if we do need to lower the wage bill and get a good offer for Brozo.

Even in ideal world you would still have to sell Brozovic in order to sign SMS as neither would accept a bench role.

But they don't even occupy the same position or roles. I'd bench Hakan for SMS. Hakan Can be the utility player who can cover Brozo, Barella and SMS.

The idea is to use Brozovic's money to catch SMS. So, Hakan will move as registra and SMS+Barella will oprate the middle. Not happen anyway. There is a lot of interest in SMS, so the bidding will start from 40 mln most probably.

I see what you mean. But I'm hoping reaching the CL final can allow us to spend something without necessarily needing to sell another starter.

I can definitely see us swapping brozo for kessie. Today, xavi said they are looking for the dm or pivot. Wouldn't have a problem with it tbh, kessie is the strong presence mid we need, which we don't have right now, although the best option would be if he would come to replace gaglia.

Ceballos is a scam of a mid, hard pass on him.
