No, unfortunately if we dont sacrifice we cannot make any significant transfer. You guys forget we havent paid ~40m loan for Augusto Frattesi and Arnautovic yet. Our kids are being sold for that.

Dumfries sell isnt enough for his replacement alone, if any.
Well, Marotta said that it would be fine if we sold Dumfries, Carboni, Arnautovic and Correa for 70 million.

Calciomercato.com: The Nerazzurri’s top targets are Torino pair Perr Schuurs and Alessandro Buongiorno, but neither would come cheap and negotiating with Urbano Cairo is never easy, prompting them to highlight some alternatives.

Udinese’s Jaka Bijol is on the list, as are Anderlecht’s Zeno Debast, Lille’s Leny Yoro and Odense’s Tobias Slotsager.
For now though, the Nerazzurri’s priority is a new centre forward to bolster the frontline.

The only way you take Schuurs is if deal is just too good. Else not worth the risk after his ACL injury. If Cairo comes with his usual ridiculous demands then he can keep him.

I've only seen Bijol and don't know the other 2. But there was a rumour about Solet for 10m which I think where we should focus.

His agent came back with a reply to this

Di Lorenzo drama continues

Speaking to CalcioNapoli24, Giuffredi responded to Napoli’s statement, underling why his client is keen to leave the club and taking aim at the behaviour of club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

“I take note of the statement issued by SSC Napoli on behalf of the [resident. However, I would like to remind everyone, including De Laurentiis, that our actions and decisions inevitably arise from his declarations.

“On May 19th, on the occasion of the press conference of the double retreat Dimaro-Castel Di Sangro, the owner himself publicly declared that all the players in the squad, none excluded and including Di Lorenzo, were transferable.

“He uttered the exact words: ‘All transferable, we need to see who wants to buy them’.

“In the aftermath of these statements, individual talks between the new sporting director Giovanni Manna and all the members of the squad began. Well, on that occasion too, the same concept was reiterated to Di Lorenzo.

“If the club received a suitable offer, a sale would have been taken into consideration and consequently evaluated.

“And so, I ask myself: in the face of such a clear attitude in the desire to sell and such a drastic and clear position, how can De Laurentiis turn around and retract everything after less than two weeks?

“Words sometimes hurt more than a slap and in this case, they undermined the basic principle of every relationship, that is, trust. This statement amounts to pure inconsistency since the exact opposite of what was stated in a public session.

“I say to president De Laurentiis that when we talk in life we can’t always retrace our steps because even footballers, and in this case Di Lorenzo, like every human being, have their own sensitivity beyond the football they play.

“In any case, I warn you that I will respond blow by blow to every inaccuracy as long as the whole truth comes out. As regards the Di Lorenzo situation, I reiterate that we will continue on our path, I will continue to work to ensure that the player leaves Napoli.”
His agent seems to have a promise from either Inter or Jubentus, he is very clear on his intentions.

His agent should have thought of that before signing a contract till 2028. He can't force a move away whether he likes it or not.

Also these statements should be food for thought for those who are fast to dismiss that putting a player on the market could affect player stance towards staying at the club. Players, and humans in general, love feeling appreciated and special.

I believe he can and he will (it's also in his direct interest to pocket another singing on fee commission).

Players nowadays have much more power than in the past and usually nobody wants to o keep unhappy players. We'll see how ADL will deal with him.

Don't have one.
He is 30, probably doesn't want to be a part of another rebuild and wants a major salary bump. I doubt the words of de laurentis hurt him that much, he probably wanted to leave anyway after the season they v had, so those words were perfect for him as a last straw to cling on.

ADL works in his own way. If he doesn't want to sell he simply doesn't even at the detriment of his club. Remember Allan and PSG.

Lazio and Napoli players should be double-careful before signing an extension. Their presidents are crazy enough to jail them in.

Poor Lorenzo...he signed a contract till 35yo  basically entire career.
