Several of you may remember that I was quite critical of Cancelo back when he was here and played RB. Thing is, I'd be very happy to see him come now with this new system we have, he'd be solid on the offensive end from both wings.

On loan for a year, sign me up.

Our success mostly comes down to the united dressing room. On the other hand, Cancelo had issues with all clubs he played and there is a reason City is set on selling a good technical player on the discounted price. Thus I would pass on him. I would rather Marotta does his job to find a suitable player than signing a proven toxic player.

Cancelo salary is only 1m higher than what Dumfries is asking. Fans who agree on signing the Dutch an extension at that request should think again..consider the ridiculous difference of the two's qualities.

Disciplinary issues I do agree though. But without that we should never reach a player at Cancelo level.

While I get your points I appreciate that the owners are finally realizing we need to invest in younger players, as the old policy is not sustainable.

Seems like this is one of those things that has a middle ground between the two. Not saying Hermoso is definitely someone we should go for, I had questions about that previously and they haven't really gone away, but not every signing needs to be made with the idea of resale value in mind. Ignoring a 29-year-old because of lack of resale value is short-sighted. You need veterans on your team just as much as you need young players who can hopefully make the leap in their development.

I like Kiwior rumour. He looked very promising at Spezia. He had a bad spell at Arsenal but they mostly used him as lb. I would take him on loan.

Re: Hermoso, it looks more likely that our management don't rate him than there's a problem with his age. Kinda like Kamada last year.

There's zero chance an investment fund doesn't like value deals like Mkhitaryan or Acerbi. Minimum investment, great returns even when there's no resale value.

30-year old, 25m€, high salary, possibly conflicting personality Cancelo is something we are definitely not going for.

Kiwior or Hermoso makes more sense. In terms of where we are financially.
