- Kiwior: only a wet dream. Young and fit Oaktree philosophy, but his market value is already 30m. Affordable when he is the Spezia's Kiwior but that ship has sailed.

- Hermoso is asking 5m net and 3 years contract. Too much for a zero-resale value player. We are stuck with him for years even if he couldn't adapt.

- Rodriguez is older but peanuts salary and asking per-one-year contract. Gap-filler only; can be released whenever we'll find a better LCB.

I am rather getting more disappointing at Oaktree, I am still trying to not judge too soon, but from this is going, it seems more like they want to treat us like a player investing firm without realizing that it is much more complicated than buy low sell high for players, as the attracting factors for young players has to do with the team's achievement, players that can play with, the status of the team etc.; on the development, which is directly tie to the "resale value" later has a lot to do with how stabilized and how well the team is, which is evidently when you have a ongoing system it let the young players to settle in easier.

Crazy if they start to adopt the Old Arsenal or Milan model, it will fail hard, especially these days.

If they indeed do put a stopping block on old players it will turn out the way I originally imagined.

This is how such companies think and act, your never going to pursue them into another mindset

De Vrij was signed for free and even now, after years of service he has a respectable resale value. I doubt Hermoso will turn into total shit in 1 or 2 years.

Resale value is certainly not why we are now linked to Ricardo Rodriguez, who even failed to extend with Torino.

Rodrigo would sign a one-year contract with a reduced salary so he may still suit the Nerazzurri.

Smells like a another Kolarov. He's not even as good as Kolarov. Better stay away.

Basic mercato time? It has always been like this, press comes up with different names every other day.

And maybe they are not even wrong, because clubs are surely looking for different players, and then sign maybe one of the names. Can be also that these intermediaries offer players to clubs (big clubs like Inter) and that already makes a rumor.

Rodriguez would be very typical super cheap, true stop-gap replacement in its truest meaning. Buchanan is coming back in January, so signing someone long-term would change things while Rodriguez would just fill the void at the time the guy he's replacing is out.

Honestly I know some people are against rodriguez, but he could be a decent cheap option. Yeah, he didn't set a world on fire with milan, but in swiss national team where you have a competent setup similar to what we have here he could be a great role player.

Would rather we get him than someone completely finished like alonso or kurzawa.

Rodriguez brings nothing to the table as LCB that Bastoni and Augusto don’t. Considering Darmian, Bisseck, and even Dimarco can cameo there, I wish we would actually try to replace the qualities of the injured player who needs replacing (Buchanan). An attacking wide player who can also track back should be our top priority imo.

Erm..Acerbi is too old already and catch injury all the time. Sorry I don't trust Bastoni in such crucial position.
