He’d fit the profile indicated by Oaktree. He’s 21 and earns just 100k per year. Moreover, his contract expires in 2025.

A January switch, perhaps with a loan back at Spezia, could be in the cards given his contractual situation. The side that agrees to do rather than wait could emerge victorious. Otherwise, it’ll be a very spicy race to sign him on a free.

Interesting thing about this guy is he plays as lcb in Spezia's back 3 despitte being right footed. Wondering if we see him as a future option for lcb or another position.

Bastoni's best abilities go in waste if he's not LCB. That's his position, that's what he needs to do. Go forward and cause havoc in opponent's half. I don't think Bastoni is some world class defender in defending.

Why should Bastoni's best position be changed because of a new young inexperienced defender who is not even left footed? That doesn't even make sense. If he comes he better gets adjusted for the center of defence which needs reinforcement with de Vrij leaving and Acerbi getting older and older.
