I am pretty much certain that Scalvini is a smart enough player to figure out how to play in the middle. Against us he played as a midfielder. If there is even a tiny chance of getting him splurge everything we got on this guy. Him and De Vrij in the middle with the rest of our defense set would be a sight to see.
I’m also pretty much certain Marotta will eventually press for this seeing how he’s talking about an Italian core consisting of the best Italian players. Scalvini will definitely become one if guided rightly.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFAthletic , tall beast that has pace. Just whats needed . We are too slow with Acerbi and Stefan, but obv they will compensate with excellent reading of the game and positioning despite being almost at the age of retiring.

10 years of FIFBah would be utilized the same way as Asllani was. I can see him slowly getting minutes and start less important games.
The real question is what's our plan for the CCB position? Acerbi may not play another game for us and De Vrij is a little prone to fitness issues, why do we seems to only interest in side CBs?

10 years of FIFBut apparently he is rejecting Manchester City because they wanted to get him for 15m and instantly loan him to the same team he is now (Valladolid).
He would be wasted in the middle, like Bisseck would be wasted in the middle, as both have a lot of playmaking ability that would be negated by having to play as a stopper and the most conservative player on the team. The CCB really needs to be a classic central defender who's great at heading the ball clear, blocking, breaking up play etc. and leaves the build up to the R and LCBs.
