This has been reported many weeks ago..

Seriously guys, is anyone expecting a different forward than Gudmundsson?

Gudmundsson at least on the surface seems to offer the opportunity to actually be a genuine contender for a starting role. I don't think it cuts it now to have two defined starters and two defined back ups, I think we need to have three very good strikers competing for the starting roles.

The form of Thuram and Lautaro fell off a cliff in the last third of the season and I'm sure in part there was an element of complacency, knowing that even though they were playing poorly, so poor were the alternatives that their selections were never really threatened.

I’m not really buying your theory, neither of them strike me as the complacent type, even in their bad period they worked hard throughout. They had a dip like majority of our starters likely because they been overused.

Gudmundsson Have a court case hanging over his head, with a potential long term prison sentence as a consequence. Island your guilty until proven otherwise in sexual assault cases which is similar to other Nordic countries, meaning if this end in court and he cannot disprove the allegations he is as good as convicted

The court case is of course a separate issue and Inter should walk away unless there is a rapid resolve. I mean primarily a player of Gudmundsson's quality. It's speculation as to why Thuram and Martienz declined, but some genuine competition for their starting roles can only be a good thing for everyone surely?

Really curious to see what we do this year both for the 4th and 5th option in attack

We have a big list of players that we need to take a decision on and find a placement before we can move on both though : Arnautovic, Correa, Satriano , Esposito S , Esposito F

Targets wise while on the 4th option we seem pretty clear to want Gudmundson on the 5th i would be happy to have a youth product. It should be Esposito F as he needs still to grow in a lower league but i would be happy to have Esposito S or Pinamonti

Why do people here keep talking about Carboni as 5th choice striker. He is an offernsive midfielder for christ sake.

Are we going to hamper the development of our best young talent, by not only keeping him here, playing very minutes, but also using him as 5th striker out of position?

Sounds like a great development plan for him eh...

Loaning our talents out so far has also been a smashing success, so let’s continue that as it’s been so successful

Currently our success rate with that approach is about 0%

Marco Barzaghi said we are also interested in Chiesa...

Yea, perhaps if they don't sell him this year and sign him for free... Pretty sure Roma, or Napoli will just buy him.

Gds mentioned Berardi, cause Marotta and Carnevali are friends.
Would love Chiesa and Berardi here. Would give us more tactical flexibility too.

Berardi? He is probably out until early 2025 with that horror achilles tendon tear he got.

Would make absolutely no sense. He might be finished at top level tbh.

Can imagine him staying at Sass to see out his contract and take a season in MLS or possibly early retirement.

Neither have any role in our 3-5-2 and neither will they come to be bench options...

Has Chiesa's career profile not started to mirror that of Dybala - an undoubtedly fine player who expects to be paid as one but who cannot be relied on because of his constant injury travails?

Marotta would love to smack jubentus again by stealing Chiesa but Giuntoli knows it, so he will sell him.
Gudmundsson is eager to join Serie A champions Inter so he will wait for an offer from the Nerazzurri "in the coming weeks", reports Il Corriere dello Sport’s printed edition on page 17.
In spite of the interest from Tottenham.

Yeah Chiesa will be sold this summer. I'd certainly be willing to take a flyer on him next year because I love his game but given the fact hes coming from Juve, is a winger, and would likely be a rotation option here I won't hold my breath.
