I’m not really buying your theory, neither of them strike me as the complacent type, even in their bad period they worked hard throughout. They had a dip like majority of our starters likely because they been overused.Gudmundsson at least on the surface seems to offer the opportunity to actually be a genuine contender for a starting role. I don't think it cuts it now to have two defined starters and two defined back ups, I think we need to have three very good strikers competing for the starting roles.
The form of Thuram and Lautaro fell off a cliff in the last third of the season and I'm sure in part there was an element of complacency, knowing that even though they were playing poorly, so poor were the alternatives that their selections were never really threatened.
We have a big list of players that we need to take a decision on and find a placement before we can move on both though : Arnautovic, Correa, Satriano , Esposito S , Esposito F
Loaning our talents out so far has also been a smashing success, so let’s continue that as it’s been so successfulWhy do people here keep talking about Carboni as 5th choice striker. He is an offernsive midfielder for christ sake.
Are we going to hamper the development of our best young talent, by not only keeping him here, playing very minutes, but also using him as 5th striker out of position?
Sounds like a great development plan for him eh...
Marco Barzaghi said we are also interested in Chiesa...
Yea, perhaps if they don't sell him this year and sign him for free... Pretty sure Roma, or Napoli will just buy him.
Would love Chiesa and Berardi here. Would give us more tactical flexibility too.Gds mentioned Berardi, cause Marotta and Carnevali are friends.
In spite of the interest from Tottenham.Gudmundsson is eager to join Serie A champions Inter so he will wait for an offer from the Nerazzurri "in the coming weeks", reports Il Corriere dello Sport’s printed edition on page 17.
No, one actually has great seasons to his name the other has one great euro's to his name.Has Chiesa's career profile not started to mirror that of Dybala - an undoubtedly fine player who expects to be paid as one but who cannot be relied on because of his constant injury travails?
