The first thing comes to mind when I read his name is if there's a footballer named Marinho so that we can form a Marinho and Luighi duo, and there is:lol:

There is a Marinho who plays at Fortaleza (surprise 2nd-place team right now in Brazil). He scored last night in the Copa Sulamericana.

Di Marzio says there's no Inter for Gudmundsson. Fiorentina are just waiting for Genoa to sign Pinamonti to finalize the move.

In the previous days Corriere had reported Arnautovic rejected Genoa as he preferred staying at Inter.

AFAIK Fiorentina is offering a loan too (+ option/obligation). Of course we'd be offering euros too as option/obligation if there was space in our squad.

Chiesa would provide us with an option at RWB and ST. I get not wanting to deal w Juve but if he genuinely wants to come here his salary renewal won’t be an issue. I’d offer 15 mil for him and kill two birds with one stone.

it's about his high salary demands. Also we can't get him as long as we have Correa or Arnautovic still here

I don't see Chiesa fitting on RWB position anymore. He isn't as agile as he used to before that long term injury. He's still competitive though, but not even close to what he's been before, and it's not Allegri's fault anymore. If he's smart enough, he has to lower his standards and play under a coach that can make redeem himself. It's always difficult to play in a team under transition (f.e gobbi).

Not saying he has to join Inter, but at least a team that is competitive and doesn't put too much pressure on him. I mean, he's still struggling to adjust his game. It doesn't help when you're constantly in the spotlight of performances, results and everything else.

Chiesa would give us an element of surprise. We have very few players who can create something out of nothing. Chiesa can do that.

Obviously he would never be a RWB, anyone thinking that is either on crack or 12 years old. He would a be a free flowing second forward.

2nd forward, or to be used in a 3 striker formation when we are chasing games.

All that yeah for sure, but he's asking for a salary which is not possible for a player in such role. Role which doesn't exactly belong to our starting lineup. You can't pay 6M to a player you use basically only when we are chasing because Inzaghi isn't changing the system and formation just to accommodate one player.

Probably because of Perisic and Candreva turned into wingbacks. But you are right. It seems very, very unlikely to me that Chiesa will ever be able to play as a wingback.
