Not sure why anyone should think that Lautaro is unsellable after what is close to an entire calendar year in which he has been out of form.
Might have something to do with the fact that teams rarely sell their captain, he is the biggest star in the team and despite the notion from FIF experts that he is in the worst form of any forward of all time, he has still scored 14 goals so far in this calendar year in serie a.

Just a wild thought.

People wanting to sell lautaro really deserves the Arnas, coreas and Taremis of this world.

Just a wild though but it might have escaped your attention but Inter are by necessity forced to run a very tight ship. There has been a willingness to sell any player as long as the price is top dollar and with that policy looking like it's not going to change anytime soon then there's little place for nostalgia.

Lautaro has been a great player for Inter and this has been reflected in his salary which makes him the second highest paid player in Italy - a long way clear of Barella in third. For Inter to justify paying out Premier League salaries then they need players who are relentlessly consistent performers - and Lautaro has been off the boil for long enough for it not to be considered a blip.

It's hypothetical because I don't see any richer club being willing to pay the sort of fee Inter would expect for him, but that doesn't mean there should be complacency and an acceptance that because he has done well before 2024 then we can let him off not doing well anymore.

if we get 100m for him cool. Or more to a panicked Man U or EPL team that isnt in top 5. Every player is sellable for top dollar.

remember many people thinking the sky was falling because we stood Onana for not the record keeper fee and look how he doing :)

it is more how do we reinvest the money. If we get 50m for another player but they end up buying a 6th string CB from Argentina no one has heard of or a backup goalie that never going to play with our whole budget then that is a problem

Lautaro leaves and he needs to be replaced with a good to great up and coming player. Not hey who is free and is a patch for 1 season.

Man U want to get rid of Zirgzee as per some rumors. He is linked with Jube, because of Motta most probably, but if we can offloand Correa and Arna, it would be nice to pouch him

That’s a summer move. In winter would be tough also he would come as 3rd choice at best. Think he’d want more game time

He cant be worse than our current crop of backups but to be fair to him he needs another loan or two. Inzaghi would just play Arna/Correa and let him rot as 6th option.

🚨 Inter have joined the race to sign Mo Salah as a free agent and are prepared to offload Marko Arnautović, Mehdi Taremi and Joaquin Correa to make room in the salary budget.

A loan of Mbappe to Inter would make more sense than Salah joining Inter as a free agent :D

I'm sure that Marotta and co explore the possibility of signing of every quality free agent. But the other part of the report is misleading. We will try to offload Arna and Correa if good opportunity comes, regardless Salah or not. And I don't think that Taremi will leave so soon

Corriere della Sera says we've already met with David's agent, who demanded a commission fee in the double digits and a 5 year contract at 6m a year. This would be too much for Oaktree.

Yeah I don't know man, that would be a fuckload of money for essentially a third choice. But then I'm always banging on about fostering good competition in the team so who knows.

We don't need to try. They're both on expiring contracts.

They are, but if someone offer any money for them in January, I don't believe that Inter will reject them.

Yes but obviously no one's offering money for either of them. We'd have to pay teams just to cover their wages.
