The biggest problem with Donnarumma, besides his massive wages, is he isn’t that good imo. He only looks like a world class gk with Italy on a world cup or european championchip. With PSG he’s kinda mediocre and error prone. Certainly in the big matches. Oh and he doesn’t suit our style. The only reason we rumoured to him, is because he’s Italian.
If we are willing to invest this heavily here, we should look into Allison Becker. With Mamardashvilli going to Liverpool, he could be on his way out.

GK is one of those departements where I don’t care about age. We should just have a world class goalie who fits our style. Allison is one of those. But I obviously don’t know what he must cost. So maybe he’s out of reach indeed.

10 years of FIFMost Diverse PosterI'm more of the opinion that we'll have to take a leap of faith somewhere and allocate our limited transfer&wage budget for the things we really need, like a new, starting CB, somebody to replace Mkhitaryan (hopefully Paz!), another RWB instead of Buchanan (who should be sold, sadly, he gets injured too much) and a striker.
I think Martinez could play one season (and have Sommer in the squad just in case) to see if he is good enough and to save some money, because we really need to spend it elsewhere.
