Morocco blew a 2-0 lead vs Argentina with the goal they conceded in 90'+16. I'm not sure how Lautaro was benched for Alvarez in Copa.

What sports are you going to attend?

A bunch actually.

Athletics 3 times (incl Long Jump final, you know)
Volleyball 3-4 games (all group stage]
Beach volleyball twice (one is 4 games the other is KO at night, just 2)
Water polo. I think 2 QFs of each gender (hopefully Greece)
Fencing (one session, a bunch of matches)
Wrestling (one session, too many matches)
Tennis (just for 2 games but closee to the end)
Handball 2 games iirc. Including France

I also have football tickets but that game ended up becoming Uzbekistan vs Dominican Republic so fuck that shit

There are some Taekwondo tickets available and I might take the bite since I don't have a clash, but I'll probably just go on a road trip that day.

I didn't wanna go to the basketball event because it's quite a circus. And I've been to Bercy already. Wanted to get tickets to all temporary "arenas", only missed the Place de la Concorde ones. I kinda want to get 3on3 basketball tickets but initially didn't feel it was worth it because I didn't know they'll really build it up. I recently saw the arenas and it'd be cool. Don't think there's anything left there though.

So overall yeah, a wholesome experience and I avoid the hassle of the days before the opening ceremony which pretty much cut the city in half.

Headless woman at the Conciergerie was a tribute to Marie Antoinette. That was impeccably done.

The only bad stuff was the gayfest on the bridge. Literally zero point or reference to anything French or Olympic.

The whole event was a televisual masterpiece and I think, weather aside, the athletes enjoyed this kind of opening cerenomy the best!

It was the IOC, the french just delivered on it, which is incredibly overlooked by many on social media, news media etc. it’s long been on their agenda to try to make the games more inclusive for minorities, this was a way to showcase that inclusiveness. It was the same with an overall tribute to women, like the one you mentioned, the statues and Jeanne d’Arc (rider on the horse). The Simone Biles case 3 years ago probably also play a very crucial part of the tribute...

It quickly becomes a touchy subject, but personally I’m all for inclusion, so I’m perfectly fine with it…

Personally I’m mainly into the original athletic disciplines and not really much else. Just don’t care much for it.

Uta Abe lost. That was her first defeat since 2019. If you watched her reaction, man what a devastating scene. Her legs were betraying her...

Some of the athletes are gay. If they feel they need to show they aren't afraid of the bigotry, good for them. Especially since the last World Cup was in the middle east and showing such sentiments were not allowed.

Dafuq does that have to do with displays of degeneracy that don't even belong on porn sites?
