Seedorf was quite good, though inconsistent but for some reason we expected him to be like Zidane.

Solari was also good but he had a serious problem of not being Mancini's bro and he saw freaking Cesar play over him. His only actual problem was staying fit.

It's a Hakim thread which is unbelivable and yet I feel compelled to emphasize this. Solari was awesme talent. Yet another small sing of why Mancini's era was so underwhelming for me.

They got Meunier for free, Dortmund don't like spending 45m on a player.

A few points to add on what everyone else has already said:

- Love the speed, we need that. Hakimi could potentially be our new Maicon
- Has a good presence of mind in the box for such a young player, something Candreva lacks even at 33
- I have also seen Hakimi play on the left a few times for Dortmund. He has a good right foot for shots. So thats a good back up option to have

One point of caution tho, Dortmund counter in numbers which makes Hakimi & his pace look great. He will find it harder at Inter when he has only 1-2 players to find, and with the defences sitting deep against us. So he may take time to start delivering.
That's why I'm skeptical. Jadan sancho and that haaland guy score shit loads of goals because of Dortmund's counter attacking play and they would not get nowhere near the goals and assists in another team imo. I admit don't know much at all about this player, but I think he could just be a speed demon that fits in well with Dortmund's system.

I strongly believe that age is just a number in everything, including marriage.

Just curious why RM wouldn't keep this lad if he's such a talent ?

Our insane level of reliance on Candreva as our counter outlet makes me absolutely sure Hakimi will come in hot like a rocket so we can all jizz rockets.

Well primarily they play with a back 4 and they have Carvajal who is still only 27 and fantastic in his own right. They couldn’t guarantee Hakimi starting football and so he wanted to leave. We can and we play 3 atb so he can play in his favorite position. Even with that I still thought we had no chance. Massive congratulations to Marotta, this is as good of a signing as they come

From what I understand Zidane will have Carvajal as the first option fullback and Hakimi wants a starting spot. Carvajal.is more of a defender so suits what Zidane wants
Zidane is in general loyal to certain players and my guess is Hakimi wants to go to a team where he will be a starter.

Either way, Real Madrid sells many talented players so if there is a team whose "reserves" we should take it's Real. Theo Hernandez also hardly got a game there and they sold him for even less, just 20 million.

Soon he will find out that Candreva is Inter's Carvajal.

Also I think Real wants plusvalenza because this deal will be done before next month starts. That's maybe part of the reason Marotta was able to pull the price down a bit.

According to Romano, Real have no buyback clause or any other preferential transfer rights for Hakimi.

This probably means change to back 4 is less likely if Hakimi arrives even though I believe it was seriously considered by Conte. It might point towards meandering in terms of squad building on our side.

There's more chance we'll sign Messi and Mbappe than changing to a back 4 formation.

This guy is a machine, I can't believe he is coming to us. Probably best RWB/RB in the world.

Hakimi out of nowhere. Beppe and Ausilio doing their work in silence :datass:

He's good going forward but I haven't seen enough of him to judge his defensive skills...
