I think Oaktree wanted some assurances we make some profits and cut some costs? I also wonder if Inter board wanted to make this one fast sale to give us some breathin space and some leverage for other sales? I think one of Lukaku, Lautaro, Bastoni or Skriniar will be sold if great offer comes? But we dont have to sell anyone if we dont get the money we want, thanks to Hakimi sale? We are hammered financially with sponsors and with empty stadiums. But why rush the deal in the first place then?
If we sell one more player, I think it will give us more financial stability and lot better financial position for future merecatos?
I think its little naive to compare this sale to those those English players like Sancho, Maguire, Kane! Those clubs dont have to sell and every English player go with higher price!
If we looks orher full back prices
LUCAS HERNANDEZ - Atletico Madrid to Bayern Munich, £68m
BENJAMIN MENDY – Monaco to Manchester City, £51.75m
KYLE WALKER – Tottenham to Manchester City, £50m
AARON WAN-BISSAKA - Crystal Palace to Manchester United, £50m
So again those clubs did not need to sell and it was before Covid. So if we get that €60-70 million its is in line with market prices + take in consideration current climate + our financial postion and its a wingback not striker, amc or a winger…
I love Hakimi but he had his ups and downs last season. He can become one of the best wingbacks of all time, but currently he is not that consistent yet and that have to also take in consideration.
This deal could still fall apart and that would get us at the starting spot again and maybe we would get some lowball offers for Lautaro, Skriniar, Bastoni and keep Hakimi?
