By this I mean that Adriano can't be succesful at Inter being a lazy fat f*ck because we play with a different system. Mancini demands work from our strikers too, and Adriano hasn't delivered that a bit.

Work from our strikers? When one is paired with Ibra, what work could he possibly do? Ronaldo was successful because he still kept his scoring instinct despite being fat, his shots were still deadly as you could see during the derby this season.

Adriano is a different case, not only did he get fat, his shots are hardly any threat to our opponent's defence.

I think you guys (Sasuke & CafeCordoba) misunderstood each other since I'm sure both of you have no faith in Adriano's ability, or lack thereof. :)

I think we should add the word Adriano to the dictionary.

Adriano
<a-dri-a-no>
Verb
Definition: To constantly disappoint, yet receive the undeserved faith & trust from others based on a past flash-in-the-pan glory
Example: After his 1908th affair was discovered, Mike Adrianoed his loyal girlfriend.

:dielaugh:  That's some funny shit man.

True. I still want to explain to Sasuke what I meant with working. It was that in our system, sure our strikers need to do something, run deep, run back to get the ball, something, anything, even if they play with Zlatan. Ronaldo did nothing in Real, but sure his great shot and goal instinct provided lots of goals to him (and great teammates). Bottom line was still that Adriano is full of sh1t since he's a lazy bastard and not an professional and we should get rid of him now when he does have some market value.

I ask again -is it not a Freudian thing? Maybe he goes out at nights and parties hard because he needs to find himself a propper girlfriend? Maybe he just needs some regular sex? Does he have a blond big-tit supermodel type of a girlfriend anyway? If not -he needs one. No star player in the searie a should be depribed of that luxury... I say some of his teammates should find him something fitting for that role - even a boyfriend if he prefers,i don't care, just let him come back to us!

People moan about Vieri's 'bad attitude' (i think Vieri was God) but he was still scoring goals.

Adris attitude is worse than Vieri's but people want to keep him. This is total BS. We must sell him now (even for very little money) and hopefully get Carlitos and hopefully Suazo.

Great words. :interscarf:

I guess if Tommi were here :)() he'd be the best one to explain this point further but there has certainly been a double standard in judging Vieri and Adriano. Without a shadow of a doubt, this current Adriano can only dream of reaching Vieri's individual achievement for us.

IMO i think we should sell him at a good price
It has been two years we are waiting for him and eventhough I belive he will do well for whoever he signs next, I think it is too much waiting on him
Dont want him turn out to be another Ronaldo

Yeah, I wouldn't mind at all selling Adriano now. Crespo is done and Zlatan should definitely stay with us for atleast one more season. Suazo is all set to sign for Inter and if only Tevez would be signed to replace Adriano, then it would be a great strikers' squad, not to forget Cruz.

Yet, I still think that 5 strikers a bit too much coz we won't be having injury prone Recoba or out of form Adriano for long period of time from now on (hopefully). Anywaz, hope we would be in contention in all the tournaments to be played next season and that would help the squad and coach alot !! And may the best in-form player get to show their worth.

It's just a feeling (lol) but I do think that Tevez can be a loyal and performing player for the club when compared to the likes of Zlatan and co. Don't get me wrong though, Zlatan proves his worth in the field and that's what I expect him to do for Inter atleast for 2/3 seasons (hopefully)

:)

Me too. Argentinean community in our team helps all the Argo players at Inter and defines them as part of the squad. I really believe Zlatan will play at Inter 3-4 seasons MOST. If we have Tevez at the point Zlatan departs, we don't have a problem since he definitely will be a star player. Tevez probably doesn't have feeling to go away to experience new or something with all the friends in the same squad.

edit. And I almost forgot my point. Tevez would be a heavy investment for the future. Adriano maybe have a bright future at Spain, but at least not in Italy or Inter. Our centerforwards are really old (Crespo&Cruz) and they don't last too long (maybe couple of seasons).

To be honest, this constant pining for Adriano's return to form needs a reality check. I commend fans such as Mike for their unrelenting belief; however, I think the man has totally lost it, or at least in an environment such as Inter's.

He has completely lost my faith, and my patience. I don't wish to perpetually delude myself with regards to his resurgence. It's been 2 years, and all I've seen were flashes of brilliance coupled with hours of dismal failings.

I long for the Adriano of old, really. Nevertheless, reminiscing about the past only makes the present reality that more jarring.

Ciao,
Tim

Ok I dunno where I stand on this Adriano debate, I am very disappointed cause he had another terrible season. But I still wouldn't like to see him in another team's jersey because I know what he can do and he was always one of my heroes at Inter when he was in form. So I am really pissed at him fro failing us again but I don't want him to leave and I'm not sure if he can ever come back to his original form. Right now I'm in a dilemma :(

Adriano should be replaced with a striker that's reliable. If not, Adriano's beginning to look like a new Recoba.

Ciao,
Tim

I agree with you Tim, that those faithfull Adriano fans need a reality check, the same can be said about Recobas fans.

Adriano has never been much more then a one season wonder, which in my eyes have been rather obvious the last couple of years.

on a personal basis then I can't really say I'm sad about it if Tevez do arrive, since he is clearly a better player, and then he isn't a part freek who gives a rat ass about his club.

For me I dosn't really matter if Adriano do make a miracle comeback(not that I think that he will get the chance) since he has done nothing else then being a pain in the ass from day one.
