Going to go ahead and open this thing up. Seems like the most talked about target for our winter window.

My life long regret not getting him early, if we had gotten him during Mazzarri era then we would not have had to endure the wrath of Perishit for this long until this very fucking day.

Gomez is a bit older than the ideal signing age for me but he will be a worthwhile signing like Sanchez. Players like him are rare.

Bring this guy,we don't need anyone else in this winter mercato, believe me,with Papu we will win scudetto. This guy was their prime Messi, in best ever Atalanta last season. Winger, attacker,AM,he can do it all..Marotta and co,do your fkn job and bring this little beast to Inter.

I''m conflicted on him, and that's because he is linked primarily with the Milan clubs. Now with the current formation, coach, tactics, and general situation, it looks like he will thrive in Milan and struggle in Inter. And that is a bad choice to deal with.

Quality player and I don't mind with his age. the problem is whether he will bring something negative to our locker room. especially when he will not get much playing time like he got in Atalanta.

If he continues performing like in Atalanta last two years I dont see how can he be benched, better than any ours midfielders and attackers. Thats how good he can be. But of course with Cunte, Messi could also be benched so it's possible. If he joins Bilan than hasta la vista scudetto..

Tbh the Gomez rumours have died down a bit lately. They're probably waiting for Atalanta to set the price and then decide if the operation is feasible. The latest rumours are more about an Eriksen-Paredes swap deal, De Paul if Udinese accept counterparts (e.g. Vecino) and random rumours about a low cost fourth forward. Conte is meeting with the directors today so we may have something more concrete.

Would like to see Gomez with us, he has the talent for sure. Can't see it happening though, I'd rather not gift them Eriksen in any such deal either.

Although quality players are always appreciated here, I daresay Gomez is not the player we need the most right now.
At Atalanta he played either on the side of the front line in a 3-4-2-1 formation or behind the strikers in the 3-4-1-2, while Conte likes to stick to his 3-5-2 with 3 workhorses in those CM spots. I'm aware we used a 3-4-2-1 in our last game and apparently did well (missed the game unfortunately), but it’d be foolish to believe that he’ll keep using this system on a regular basis, given how reluctant he is to mix things up. Realistically that means Gomez would play as one of the 2 strikers, but I can't see Lautaro getting benched and Sanchez is already a great back up. That means a starting spot is anything but guaranteed here.

I’d hate to see him at Milan, but considering their league standing as well as a certain spot in their starting line up, this makes them an attractive destination for him.

Only rumors I've read is we're willing to put on a plate a total amount of 0 euros. At least in pure cash. Vecino counterpart has been mentioned but hardly likely given how the fuck would he fit to Gasperini's football.

I doubt we end up having Gomez because Atalanta won't let him go for free. Maybe some kind of loan swap to another player or something? I mean if it is to happen (which I don't believe).

Many sources are sure that Gomez will end at Inter in this next weeks. TMW and Corsera are talking about an agreement with the player while Atalanta is asking Pirola. The relationship between Suning and Percasi are anyway good, we will see what deal comes out.

Getting Gomez makes a lot of sense if Conte will run an actual 3-4-1-2 that doesn’t morph into a 3-5-2 after five minutes. Unless he does actually switch, Gomez makes little sense. He won’t come here to come off the bench, and I’m not sure we can afford to drop Lautaro as we can’t have his value plummeting further than it has.

It's said the agreement with Gomez is 2.5m€ for 2.5 years. So pretty typical Inter stuff if we sign him, he's 33 years old now (well, very soon).

My issue with Gomez is how will he fit to the squad. At Atalanta, he was the man. He was the protagonist. He's basically a legend in that club. At Inter, he's just yet another player. One mercenary. Really, he will be just one player coming in, getting his last (big) contract.

If he fits in, I'm sure he will be a useful player. Not sure about the length of the contract though. And of course everything depends on the price. We should definitely not throw Pirola to Atalanta.

I think he would really surprise a lot of people if he comes. He is like what Alexis should have been in essence, we don’t have anyone on the team right now that can beat his man and create something. Would absolutely love to have him here and he will be super motivated considering he’s never won anything in his career and could have a chance to do so. We should have got him years ago, he can fit in both formations. And honestly I would love to see him and Lukaku combining, he had insane chemistry with Zapata and Big Rom is a much better version of Zapata.

Smelling like Nainggolan-Zaniolo deal.

Yeah, we need to strongarm in this one. If anything, some lesser prospect can go but not the brightest ones. Actually some lesser prospect, valued like 8m€ would be fine. That would be pure plusvalenza and it would help us in our mercato.
