Squad depth for what? We conceded more goals whenever he played
I dont know where this "he's a strong presence in the locker room" has come from but this is a poor excuse. Players are signed to make a positive impact for their own team (not the opposition!) on the pitch, not to be a cheerleader. If Inter wants to sign cheerleaders I suggest they sign prettier ones and on a lower salary.Well this is obviously not true and I guess the management appreciates Kolarov's locker room presence also.
I am really sick of that excuse being rolled out. Do you know why all of the players that have a strong presence in our locker room are old cunts? Because their continued presence at the club and inclusion in the squad ensures that our young players have to be loaned out to find experience elsewhere.I dont know where this "he's a strong presence in the locker room" has come from but this is a poor excuse. Not sure even the professional cheerleaders earn as much as this dipshit does.
And loaning out is not even the worst part. They get sold outright, included in the deals for some old cunts to be signed, and frozen to the bench so the old ones can play and have zero to negative impact for the team.I am really sick of that excuse being rolled out. Inter rely on old cunts like Kolorov because they are unprepared as a club, to give any of their young players a place in the squad.

Maybe our management are of the view that our young players sitting on the bench at other clubs teaches them to have patience and humility. And loaning out is not even the worst part. Ridiculous that even some call the latter "learning" for the young players, as if being frozen to the bench and getting zero to minimum game time help these youngs players to develop and fulfill their potential!
Exactly! We all remember that squad for nearly 10 years ago, that under Stramma won the "youth CL". I hoped that a few of these players will become good players (there was tha analogy with La Masia). Our primavera players are typically not good enough for Serie A. Seen multiple times, the latest being Esposito. Zaniolo is the complete opposite but a total anomaly.
Yeah, Kolarov doesn't make many mistakes, true. He can't even walk on the field, but in hospital. In a few rare times he played, he killed us in those few times.Maybe you guys forget that this is a reserve position, the less we see it means Bastoni is fit and continues to play well.
How can we even fuss over this reserve position, there are starting positions that are more precarious and require more funds to be patched.
Can anyone name a good player who wants to sit on the bench for a total cost of 2.7 million euros.
Please don't mention Di Marco or any other primavera (currently there is no standout defender in the Primavera). Have you watched Di Marco play in the LCB position? Do you know Verona's stats when he played in that position?
And also do you think that Simone would want to play inexperienced kids?
Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see Di Marco plays, but hopefully not in this position.

So let's crucified Dimarco because Hellas Verona stats was bad?!?
Let me remind you one solution, Darmian can play there and can be 10x better. Now that we have extended Dumbo, Dumbo can be RB backup (Darmian current role) for the new RB. Yeah, a better solution than spending a dumb 2.7m for a fraud is not spending it.
Anyone can do better than Kolarov. Any. Even me can't be that disastrous. Hire some girls to cheer players up in the locker room if you call that "leadership", for some hundred bucks.Dumbo cannot be a backup for RWB position (we don't use RB), he's way too slow for that. Kolarov was clearly signed for his leader characteristics and for the fact we didn't find a cheap solution from the market. Stefano Radu extended with Lazio and it seems we try to make money with Dimarco sale.
Which players claimed that? It's not an excuse but mentioned by at least few players. Players are signed for multiple purposes and being a leader is one of them. I haven't played pro sport (team sport or any other ever) but I understand there are dynamics in the locker room and leader characters are important there, specially at pro sports, specially at the top level.
Learning from veterans is not that veterans play and young players learn from that. The learning (from veterans) happens in the training grounds.
I'm not happy with this renewal but I can understand it. They didn't find a proper replacement from the market, proper in this context, something they wanted to find. It's not always simply technically BETTER PLAYER, there are other aspects when signing players too, and being a leading character is one of them. They've said Kolarov is super pro, always training super professionally and that alone sets an example to younger players. All these players are individual human beins and not everyone is super pro, always top notch in trainings. Kolarov is that, whereas someone like Nainggolan being a good example of polar opposite of super pro.
