Regarding his play time, we have tough matches and schedule is ridiculous so better to save Bastoni for Milan and Bayern when we have the chance to do so.

I could agree to this if we were in the middle of the season, but cmon man, it just the start of the season and he still so young, i really cant see the point of his "rest"...

He played last Friday. Now he gets one week rest to prepare for Milan + Bayern games. But not only those, but for other games too coming in autumn.

Every game takes a toll so dropping games here and there will keep the durability of the player higher. I'm not saying he's tired so he needs the rest, I'm saying by resting now he's not gonna be tired later.
