When you see Barca paying a Lecce level player 12m, us paying 4m to De Vrij doesn't look so crazy

I seriously rather not extend Dzeko, DDA and De Vrij and give this to Bastoni and sign Becão (or some other low cost average CB), and maybe use Carboni more as a back up.

“Clearly, it takes two to reach an agreement on a contract. When a player has only a year left on his deal and can legitimately say he wants to wait, it gets all the headlines. When a club leaves a player waiting until the last minute, that is considered normal.

“At times, a player doesn’t sign because he was made to wait too long or because the club was not interested in giving him a new contract. When people behave in a fair manner, I don’t think it becomes a problem.”

watched the coppa match cause I don't care about this tournament. Didn't like how Bastoni played at all. He doesn't deserve shit and he can fuck right off along with his agent

Yeah, his form hasn't been close to stellar at all for most of the season, don't know why exactly.

Better sell him now before Marotta lets him walk for free.

He's not going to let him walk for free.

He'll shop him around again, get him to talk to a bunch of clubs and then after hw rejects everyone becayse he wanta to stay he will tell him that we will enter contract talks soon and make him wait for a couple of months and then say that it's up to the player once we give a lowball offer.

And half of FIF will call Bastoni a traitor.

On his own volition rather because Marotta let him. Marotta would have done everything possible to keep him here

The way we just parade every player that is actually worth something reminds me of the red light district in Amsterdam. Smells to me like the typical "HE WONT FUCKING RENEW, THAT TRAITORRR!! WE RAISED HIM !!!! BETTER SELL HIM QUICK !!!!' bullshit.

I don't know he hasn't gotten better yet wants double his wages..... I mean 4.5 to 7 million is a massive gap in what he wants and what we think he is worth or can pay. People who say 7 don't normally take 5. Outside Veratti most Italian players have failed abroad so a team spending big on him + giving him a truck load of money might be low.

I read somewhere he is willing to accept 5 mil. We were talking about 6 mil and now 7 ?
At this point I dont really believe any sum that is being thrown around.
