10 years of FIFHis passing to Lazaro for second goal was Xabi Alonso-esque and his run from the back to nearly scored a goal was something the 80 M Dutch defender typically did. His defensive capability still needs to be tested and honed as we should remember that Higuain scored because Bastoni mismarked him. However, Bastoni-De Vrij-Skrniar should be our primary set up because I don't think Godin performs better than him so far.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFJust appreciating the talent mate, there’s plenty of room for you to jump on board and enjoy it. Nobody is saying he’s perfect but what we are seeing makes us confidently believe he’ll be starting more games than not if he keeps it up.

10 years of FIFFCIN: Negotiation to renew Alessandro Bastoni’s contract is ongoing. The idea of Inter is to give the young defender a new contract until 2024, increasing his wages from just 300 thousand to around €1.2M. This is the recognition of how he has contributed to the team so far this season: despite names like De Vrij, Skriniar, Godin and D’Ambrosio, Bastoni has managed to start a few times under the guidance of coach Antonio Conte.
Yesterday’s afternoon, his representatives were in Inter HQ in Viale Della Liberazione to get things rolling on this new contract. There is already an agreement and both sides are working on the final details of this new deal. Bastoni is an important element for this Inter team and will be a pillar in its defense in the near future.
