Here we go again that alienating the people that pay the tickets because "ma 2 months wages". At a certain point people get sick of this shit and turn to something else which ends up hurting the sport.

The comparison is justified because the asshole that works at the grocery store is the same asshole that buys tickets to watch these "coveted skillset" humans play what is ultimately a game and not benefit to humans as hole. Look I love the sport but if I had to decide between putting food on my table or making sure Inter or it's players survive, I know what I'm picking and that goes for any company. My loyalty is to my family and nothing else.

Yeah comparison to regular joes doesn't make sense but the sense is that COVID has affected everyone. Even the football clubs. Normal football clubs work that you make money in different ways (sponsorships, ticket revenues) and then you pay the players. Now the ticket revenus have been taken away so of course it affects how much money the club can pay. At City, Chelsea, PSG it doesn't matter that much as they are subsidized by their owners in greater manner than at Inter. Inter is trying to be a club which relies on its revenues alone, like a normal club.

So it's not uncalled for to ask for SOMETHING from the players. Zhangs have put hundreds of millions to this club already, now the club is in trouble because of external shock to the whole business they operate in, so why can't Zhang ask for some leeway? The whole thing of club making money is based on people paying for that. People are not paying for that at the same extent anymore because tickets cannot be sold. What is the right for the player to continue asking for the same money when there are no people paying for the service he provides?

Bastoni will get his contract for fuck sake. If the American loan is the condition, deadline is the end of June, why the fuck the agent starts to complain about it now? It's fucking May! And if the loan hasn't been secured yet, what the fuck is the problem? Why go out and mumble over this issue to the reporter? Fuck this guy (the agent).

Here we go again. Comparing footballers who are in the top percentile of one of the most coveted skillsets in the world to grocery store workers. If you think Bastoni makes a lot of money, what do you think Suning makes?
Bastoni can refuse to sign the new contract, if he isn’t happy with the new salary, that’s his rights. But bitching about the current contract in public is too much. He signed it himself.

Imagine you works in a company, you ask to triple your salary and the boss is nice enough to accept but delay it. You go bashing him in public? How does that make sense?

Okay okay you might be the best in your field, but it doesnt change the principles of contract. Is to bind you to whatever you have put pen on.

No, the agent is complaining about the deal he made with the management that they will sign the extension with the parameters agreed in February (or when was it). But that now it has taken so long and now the deal is being "changed" because Zhangs asks 17% reduction to the salary (2 months salary). But this fucking idiot should not mix two things together. The deal and the salary reduction which is proposed to the whole team.

He's not bitching about his current deal, he's bitching that the agreed renewal did not take place... as agreed.

Matchday tickets don't even cover half of the salaries...Inter relies on broadcasting and commercial revenue to pay for things. Once those dry up you enter into a situation such as now. This is why the current model in football will be it's downfall, as much as I hate Perez and Agnelli, they are right in saying kids don't really watch tv anymore, they are more interested in playing video games and watching Twitch (the 4th highest in internet traffic). 2019/2020 Matchday total for the season was 56m Euros...

I agree the players and staff should ALL take a cut or pay freeze if they really care about the team.

If you read again Bastoni agent words you will see basically the two things are the same. “To bring the salary to the fair range...” also means he isnt happy with the current contract.

I also mentioned that Suning have their faults in not keeping their promise, for now. But it doesn’t mean they MUST do it, nothing official signed yet. It doesn’t mean you can damage their (and Inter) image in public.

Why should he be content with his "current" salary which was from 3 years ago when Marotta and Ausillio agreed on renewing back in February? An agreement was agreed upon by the ceo, but now they are saying it's contigent to getting a loan, sounds like a negotiation in bad faith by our management.

3 years or more doesn’t matter. If you signed a contract for 6 years, that amount is what you expect to receive in 6 years.

You can unhappy with your salary, okay, you can ask for better AFTER your current contract. And decide whether you will sign a new one or not.

OR you could negotiate with your boss now. Okay, he agrees prematurely to tear the old contract and promise a new one. If he does, all good. If he doesn’t, you can be mad at him, but that’s your business. You can’t sue him, he doesn’t break any law. You must shut up and do the work until your contract is finished. OR you can quit and pay the compensation. In this case is the 30m fee we pay for Atalanta.

Get the point? Whatever, Bastoni and co. have to work with Inter in closed door, not this public bullshit.

In this case it is not even clear what Suning promised. Did they say specifically “we will give you an extension IN MAY” or they just say “at the end of the season”? Had the 2nd case been, they didn’t break any promise yet. February or what is irrelevant.

He's not really focusing on his current salary, though. His main complaint was that the management dealt in bad faith and he's saying that Bastoni wants to stay if the AGREED number is met.

Agents work on behalf of players, they can do whatever they think is necessary to get the best deal possible for the clients. Assuming what he said is accurate, it seems to me that the management agreed on a number and a timeline and is now trying to delay it. The management has all the right to do that but so does the agent to do all it takes to get his client happy.

Regarding your statement of asking for a better pay AFTER his contract is untrue. Players can ask for an improved contract before their contract ends which I believe he did.

Yeah let's not confuse this discussion too much. Bastoni and his agent has had a new deal AGREED with the management since Jan/Feb already. New deal which gives Bastoni about 2.7m€ base salary (+ bonuses to 4m€ level). That's the deal agreed. That's one thing but it's obvious we cannot do such deal before we have the money, which comes from the American loan.

Then there's the other thing which is the financial ruin we are in and the owner has asked if all you guys could give up 2 months of your salary. The new deal is coming, but there needs to be reduction there for the first year (I assume).

So I am just wondering. How can Suning expect the players to waive 2 months salary but then give salary increase to some players like Bastoni and Barella. I know it is the right thing to do and both players deserve it, but aren't the other players will think "you said you don't have money, but now you give salary increase to some players".

And it could apply to transfer as well. Let say the players agree to waive their 2 months salary, but then Inter buy Gosen for 25-30 million. Aren't the player will think the same? What I am saying is that if the players agree to waive some salary, it means that Inter will not make any decent transfer because it will contradict the financial situation they described for their request to the existing players.

Lukaku 'disappointed by VAR Conte'
By Football Italia staff

Romelu Lukaku joked on social media after complaining he was ‘disappointed by the referee and his VAR Antonio Conte’ in Inter training.

The message was on Lukaku’s Instagram account following today’s session at the Pinetina ground.

“Disappointed by the referee and his VAR (Antonio Conte), but we kept fighting and got a result…”

His teammates joined in the fun, Achraf Hakimi evidently on the winning side, calling Lukaku a “loser.”

Alessandro Bastoni had the best comment, though, referencing Conte’s recent ban for shouting ‘always you, Maresca. It’s always you!’

Instead, Bastoni wrote “It’s always you, Stellini, it’s always you!”

Cristian Stellini is Conte’s long-time assistant manager and evidently also today’s referee in training.

LOL, clowns! Bastoni is actually a funny guy.

Love the team spirit, and the fact that they don't spare Conte when they take the piss out of each other
