I'm sure De Vrij is our best CB and he is exactly the player Spurs need. And you can get him for cheap! 20m

As I often like to say, in bold for emphasis - Tottenham hasn't won a league title in over 60 fucking years. If we sell Bastoni against his will to that g-d forsaken club, we deserve every bit of negative karma we get for doing that. Alessandro doesn't deserve that.

Realistically its easier for Inter to find an adequate CB to replace Bastoni than it is to find a young FW who is certain to score 20+ goals to replace Lautaro Martinez.

Selling Bastoni for 70m~, but extending SDV and getting bremer for around 30m is much better than selling Lautaro and getting either another dinosaur has-been in the dzeko mold or overpaying for an unknown quantity like Scamacca. I understand the sentimentality about getting rid of a young italian, but in Inters situation a young defender like bastoni is a luxury, while a 20+ goal forward is a necessity. The former is easier and cheaper to replace than the latter.

Though in the end i fear both Bastoni and Lautaro will likely be sold. Selling both for a combined 150m€~ would allow Suning to bank the 80m€~ to cover depth. Then allow Perisic renewal (a huge mistake imo, despite his excellent season) and the salary to sign the injury prone Dybala and possibly Mkhisaurus, even with the reported 15% overall salary reduction. Then there should be leeway to invest in a new forward as well, hopefully not another dud like Correa.

Either way, rough time ahead for Inter surely.

I don't disagree with the reasoning behind your opinion but de Vrij is a fucking cunt and mere sight of him makes me sick. Everything about him just exudes weakness and a lack of confidence. The guy has simply turned into a giant bitch this season. Absolute fucking pussy.

I never rated him as highly as the majority of people here but I still considered him a top Serie A defender. This season however his goodwill has absolutely plummeted in my eyes and as far as I'm concerned, continuing with him, let alone fucking extending him is not an option. Removing him from our squad is an extreme priority.

Our only hope is that he pulls a Skriniar and refuses to leave.

The writing is on the wall for this one. Inzaghi has already been regularly subbing Bastoni out of matches for Dimarco, something Conte (if he had Dimarco) would never even consider. It's clear to me that management will pick Bastoni to leave if forced to choose.

Then we'll get to listen to Marotta claim that Bastoni forced his way out, like he does with every player we sell.

Bremer can't replace Bastoni. Have you checked his passing percentage? It's worse than Skriniar's. The guy avoids asking for the ball at Torino like the plague. Bastoni isn't just a cb for Inter. He has a big contribution in our attacking game with his passing, forward runs and crossing. You simply can't play from the back with a Skriniar-De Vrij - Bremer defensive trio.

When did Marotta claim that?

That's why we won't be signing Bremer. We already have Di Marco to replace bastoni...

I wish this was /s

Nah. He never said it about Hakimi. Instead he said it was the necessary sacrifice for club's sustainability. But he said it for Lukaku and all the Juventus players he sold.

It's what he did with Hakimi. He did it with Lukaku, too, but it's clear Lukaku actually did.
No, he legit said it was necessary for Hakimi. Lukaku was the truth.

I thought he did say it about Hakimi, quite recently too.
