Not surprised. Hasn't strung together a consistent amount of games for almost 3 years now. Arsenal he would miss every 2nd or 3rd game for whatever reason, United was its own story, now he has 3 yellows in 90 mins of football and an injury already. I'm not saying its entirely his fault in context with his time at Inter, but in the bigger picture it almost entirely is imo. Guy is a liability and no matter how talented he is, comes with major baggage imo.

Beppe & Conte know this, and is exactly why we are low-balling United into paying majority of his wage. We will definitely be negotiating his redemption price from 25 down to 15 region imo. Whether the club or fans are still keen on him come next year is another thing though. Disappointing, but not surprising.

If worst comes to worst and he fails to perform and impress at Inter, he can return to his Manchester United purgatory at the end of the season. Personally, I thought he played well when he teamed up with Martinez in Barcelona. I thought the way they played off each other was pretty good for a combination that had not really played together beforehand. I also wanted to see him teamed up with Lukaku but the way things are going, that might be some time away.

Reports state that he suffered a dislocation of the tendons in his left ankle and will in all likelihood require surgery. He'll also be out of action for a couple of months. Look on the bright side, at least we did not buy him outright.

yep, one year ago Eusebio Di Francesco was forced to use Zaniolo, because of injury plague in Roma and thanks to that the youngster developed into great player.
I'm sad that Alexis is injured, but it's time to give some minutes to Sebastiano Esposito. We have also some other nice young strikers in Primavera like Mullattieri, Fonseca or Verghani, so I hope someone will shine.
