I'd love to see him renew with a suitable realistic contract.
alexis will still want a big salary, so even if he is a great player, its just too risky to give him lots of money for like the next 3 years. We also know that when he returns from Chile he will be out for at least a month and then will need another month to get into form.

In about two weeks, him, Vidal, Lautaro and Correa will be going to South America for two qualifier games... Okay, Vecino will go as well.

1) Hope all of them return fit for once.
2) Hope none of them contracts covid or has to quarantine, as they'll miss Liverpool as well!

Serie A arranged for a mini break during that weekend (30th of January) but the game right after is Milan. If we're without these 4 guys due to covid, it'll be disastrous. But we all know the only one to suffer from this trip will be Alexis himself, so hopefully he gets to play as much as possible until the break. I'll be expecting a start in both games we have vs Atalanta and vs Venezia.

La Tercera claim that West Ham are interested in signing Alexis Sanchez and are ready to table a £6million bid. However, the Hammers face competition from Newcastle in pursuit of the Chilean.

Only willing to sell if they take Vidal with them :)

In January? We must turn this down. Unless we can find equally good replacements, which we clearly cannot afford, we must not let them go this window. Inter wouldn't be in the first spot without these two.

The Uruguayan kid gets kept and is the sub Correa is.

Correa gets bumped to the Alexis role.

We are potentially 5 ahead of Milan. The Liverpool game is a stretch to think we can win even if we do … next rounds will be worse.

I’d get rid of Alexis wages + money. Like for a real good offer. Newcastle is rich they want to buy our fking team….. ok do us your first favor buy Vidal, Vecino and Alexis :)

I'd actually offer Alexis a renewal, but he's already lost a lot of guaranteed money to make the switch to Inter.

He makes something like 7.5m now and his contract runs until 2023.

I'd convince him that he has a role in this team and that he's very well rated, but our finances do not allow us to raise our competitive level when so much of our budget is locked on him.

I'd give him 12m over 3 years. That drops his salary at 4m from 7.5m, but it gives him a job until 2026 where he'll be freaking 37 and he's already lost a lot of his explosiveness. He won't be getting any offers from big clubs after the next season anyway and he wants to win titles.
It sounds like a stretch, but I honestly believe he's extremely happy at Milano and at Inter, he's not chasing money but wants to be respected. And let's be honest, we need him. He's the perfect supersub and will remain that over the next couple of seasons. And we end up paying him when he's not in a position to help much at the end of his career in 2025-26, not the first time this happened.

You keep saying Newcastle this and that. This is a guy that was depressed making 20 million a year at Manchester. He'll survive Newcastle and move for the money again? There's a reason he explicitly asked to be sold to a team that is chasing titles. He'd only be willing to go to Chelsea (London factor), PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Bayern, unless he wants to downgrade on the league quality and move to Ajax/PSV or Porto/Benfica. There's no other club for Sanchez in Europe and I don't see him demanding a return to River Plate or Chile, or to a Brazilian club. He likes it in Europe.

He's good but I don't know if he's that good.

There's rumored to be clause which we can activate by paying him 4m€ and he walks. Not sure if he even wants to walk away. But I would definitely not offer him 3 year contract. The problem with Sanchez is him being at Chile NT. Traveling takes its toll and he gets injured fucking every or every other time he takes those NT trips. Maybe if he quits NT after the World Cup, it could make sense to re-sign him.

The best solution for us and maybe also for Alexis would be a new contact. Let's say 3,5m/y for 3 years. He rennounce at his fat salary for next year and receive a 3y contract. It is enough money and respect for a bench player (though a very good one). So we could save enough money to accomodate another Dzeko type player.

Please no. Grandpa Dzeko is already looking his age & high risk injury wise. One small injury/suspension to Lautaro, and we'll be starting the "never-consistent" Correa and the kid Satriano. There is no way we win the Scudetto with that.

Even if Dzeko, Lautaro & Correa are fully fit for the rest of the season, it may not be enough to keep us on top. Sanchez & Vidal have already contributed to 17 goals this season despite being back ups. Their contributions are a key reason why we are on top.

Lets keep Sanchez. Keep Vidal. Unless/until we can replace them with equally good players. Lets win this Scudetto first.

You are mixing this window and the summer. No one is suggesting any moves of these players THIS window.

Maybe Sanchez loves Arabian region leagues? There is a chance to Latinos player like Sanchez, Vidal, Vecino etc finish their career in Arabian leagues because some Latinos loves that place already?

I won't offer Alexis a 3 years contract. In summer Inter should ask him to reduce his salary in half so we could offer him a 1 year extension. We should not offer any lengthy deals to the players above 32 years old.

It’s time to move on. I don’t see enough upside in giving Sanchez another contract. We should try to maximize his output for the rest of the season and then shake hands.

Iirc Sanchez's pay out from United when he joined Inter was the difference between what United owed him and what Inter paid him. He's not lost a single penny vs his United contract as far as I know.

Great game he had. Please stay fit! With the form of Lautaro and Dzeko, he is the most valuable forward right now.

Man of the match today. He’s the most talented player we have despite what some people may think.
Well, I don't think anybody is saying otherwise, it goes 1. Sanchez 2. Brozović/Perišić

A nice swansong for his career
