I’d much rather keep Sanchez than Dzeko.

Sanchez at least offers something, movement, mobility, cunning. Dzeko, as the season went on, offered less and less to the point he became a serious hindrance.

That's what happens when you chase free over 30 players. People keep saying that this is Marotta masterclass. Yeah, why not, Kolarov, Vidal, Sanches, they had more than Skriniar, Basto, Brozo and Barella(until renewal). They can sit on the bench, receive millions for nothing and refuse to go, seems like great strategy for club.
Sanchez was useful for three seasons. He was our third best attacker after Lautaro and Lukaku, and came for free in the moment when Zangs could afforded it. His transfer actually was much better than some epic fails like JM, Gagliardini, Gabigol, Kondogbia, etc.

I recall that trade with Roma for Dzeko in the winter market almost 2 seasons ago.

Looking back maybe it should have been done.

It must suck that a club you’ve put real heart into is doing everything they can to get rid of you despite you actually being a useful asset.

I get his salary is high, but damn…

Yes. Even if we pay him off now, it would still rank as a successful transfer (economically) in the overall scheme of things.

Well he's played his heart out everywhere he's been. Maybe not so much Man U but can't blame him for that. He's been a great servant of the shirt and he will be remembered for it.

Being an athlete close to retirement sucks and it's a hard reality to swallow. It's his last big pay cheque so I can't blame him for wanting to see it through, but he should think about settling down and moving to NA or SA at this point in his career. It's good he still has ambition but he should know he's slowing down and can't compete in Europe forever. Playing in America would grant him more playing time, a competitive environment at a slower pace, as well as being a star player and probably the highest paid at that.

He's also not a very useful asset anymore. He's great when he he's having a good game but how often has that happened in his Inter career? I can list his negatives this past season but I think they speak for themselves. If you want to mention useful assets we should talk about the player we are trying to replace Alexis with.

Please man just go away.
I can't stand another year of shouting 'pass the ball!' to my TV. He did his part in his time at Inter but the way he keeps the ball too long and tends to lose it in dangerous zones just drives me crazy. The derby loss this year is a nightmare to me and I get angry everytime I think about how him hogging the ball when and where there was no need to actually cost us a game where we were pounding Milan's *ss.

He put his heart playing for the chilean national team every time and at all costs, everything else starting from the time he made a transfer to man utd was professionally doing his job, which is different than putting your heart.

Time for the Icardi treatment. Would feel bad for him if it wasn't for his caged lion lambo thingy.
This. I was on the fence since I never really liked him, but he did save us a few times. But his comments are borderline crazy. Pay him up and let him go, so he can see what truly is the reality for him

He did very well for us, but it's time to go. He never passes the ball and is on a very high salary.

Plus, Inzaghi doesn't seem to like him so what's the point of having him on the bench for another season.

I'm not saying that Sanchez was bad, he was good, but when you buy this kind of player you have to know hou much you have to pay and it will be extremely difficult to sell later. Who will Pay his huge salary? When you buy players for the bench and they become on of your main problem 2 years later is not good.

I'm not sayin it wasn't a foul I'm saying once again he came in and played like a 19 years old kid instead of the 34 years old highest paid in the team man. Why did he put himself in a position to be fouled while there was an Inter player making a run RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Look at Brozovic's reaction, it's not a "it's a foul" reaction, it's a "for f*ck's sake pass the ball" reaction.
Don't put yourself in a position where there can be an ambiguous decision to make for the referee and it might not go in your way. Release the ball. Sanchez sometimes dribbles so much with the ball that he ends up having his back at the goal. What the hell is he doing?
I'm not arguing whether it's a fault or not, I'm saying Sanchez is always doing this sh*t. He has a great vista and good ideas sometimes when it comes to making a genius pass in the opponent box, but I'm sorry I can't shake off the feeling that he shows very little experience. This f*cking guy made 2 VERY dangerous tackles and got sent off seconds after we scored in one of those games where he should have shone for us.

And he does it all the time every game, not only then.
