If it goes that way, it will be exactly like Quaresma. :D Less money paid than what was initially requested, but still too much considering the quality of the player.

There's time til June for Udin. to realize they don't have a potential Ronaldo or Messi and re-consider the amount they're asking for. He's much more suited for the EPL if the rumors of Fergie interest is real but he has proven himself in Serie A which atleast reduce the concerns of him being a failure like Quarisma although the risk is always there.

You guys seriously think Sanchez is worth less than 10 million?? Maybe if we were still in 2005..

I don't think he's what we're missing but he can only strengthen our squad.

Every time he's played against Inter I've been impressed, I clearly remember one game where he raped Zanetti the whole game.

Udin is asking for much more than 10m! I personally didn't doubt his talent but don't approve buying him for such fee.

Damn.. Inter and Udinese can't agree deal for Sanchez. Apparently Udinese want nothing less than 20m and Inter's offer was not good enough, just 25m + Muntari.

I am not a Sanchez fan, but 15m is probably the fair price for him. The kid has talent, no doubting that. Anything less than 15m, I would say yay. Or if that 15m includes one of our deadwood (Mancini, Suazo, Rivas, Muntari, etc) players in exchange, then YAYYYYY!!

Sanchez will easily make our first 11. He may not be the best crosser of the ball, or even have a developed end product (finishing), but he will still be a big improvement on Biabiany or even Pandev on the wings.

Yes, he could become a Quaresma, but there are more guarantee's about Sanchez than RQ... coz:
1. He is younger, ie can improve
2. He is proven in Serie A already, even if in a smaller club
3. He has no past record of failure at a big club
4. He has a much better work rate

Still, I wouldn't spend more than 15m on him.

Now that many people talk about Sanchez being proven in Serie A. Exactly what that means? Proven in what? Since his stats are pretty abysmal him being a regular starter (I assume he's regular since he's proven). What makes him proven? Being a starter?

If he didn't prove himself, why do you think we're trying to sign him? Udinese asking for a high price? Alex Ferguson praising and interest in him? IMO, it's never easy for offensive players to impress in Serie A or atleast it's more difficult than EPL and La Liga.

He's not proven. Just shown glimpses and potential and that along with Serie A experience makes him a better candidate than many others. But he is not proven at all.

He is far from proven no doubt about that but he is also one of the biggest prospects in his position. Players that are arguably better than him in wings are valued from 30-50 million (Ronaldo, Nani, Bale, Aguero....). So 15-20 million seems a fair price considering all options and state of the market that has been destroyed by Chelsea, Real and City in recent years.

We don't play wide so his lack of crossing is not a issue. We really need a player like him that can hold the ball, tie 2 players and make some space with his dribbling. Currently only 2 players are capable of doing that in Inter and one has been rather poor recently(Eto, Maicon). This gives a additional headache to our opponents and necessary space to players like Sneijder and Milito to do there thing. He also works in both ways witch suites us more than having a classic attacking winger.

Also in his defense for the wastefulness part people need to understand that his one of the main parts of Udineses attack therefor he sees the ball a lot. For comparison Nani wasn't much better than him few years back and I'm sure nobody would mind having him in the team now.

Does anybody have his direct assist stats at Udinese? This is something that interest me much more than his goal tally. Personally I would fancy this move more than Kaka nonsense.

It seems like everyone has a different meaning of the term proven or maybe different standards. I considered proven as a successful player that managed to play well for his team in Italy and attracting other clubs currently. I didn't say that he's a C.Ronaldo or a Messi but tried to ease the concern of him being another Quaresma thats all.
