a player's value is what somebody is willing to pay, not what the club thinks he's worth.
i cited the example of udinese with d'agostino...they "claimed" Real Madrid were interested, thus bumped up the price to over 20mil (i believe they valued him at 25mil), hoping Juve would bite. In the end, Juve didn't bite and udine ended up keeping him. Next summer, fiorentina gets d'ago for 4.5mil on co-ownership...lmao 25mil -> 4.5mil on co-ownership...talk about inflation
it's the same shit udine pulled with pepe. Claimed other teams were interested to bump up the price (tried to get 20mil from Juve) but in the end, Juve paid 2.6mil for a loan w/ option to sign for only 7.6mil total. talk about inflation
i hope you're seeing the trend here....
Sanchez is vastly overrated and Udinese is pulling the same shit again. ManU ain't interested. If they were, it would be a done deal already. manU is hardly involved with "rumors" and bidding wars. When/if they identify somebody, they either get them or they don't. Udinese is putting the manU name in there to try to bump the price to get Inter to pay. I GUARANTEE that in the summer, sanchez would be worth 10mil AT BEST. AT BEST.
and both d'ago and pepe were MUCH BETTER performers for udine than sanchez. Look at the prices they went for. Peanuts.
If branca and co. fall for this shit, it would be even worse than the quaresma deal.
and imo, sanchez is a young version of ALVAREZ in bari. lots of flash and speed with very, very, very little end product.
