You are comparing a team fighting for their life in the CL after nearly two years with a coach and compare them to a coach who has been implementing a new system to a new group of players for a month playing indifferently with a 3-0 lead.

I agree with you, really do.

But fact is that Chelsea were 3-th place in UEFA team ranking in 2010, richest club in the world at that moment, and we destroyed them. That fact give us right to compare a litlle, especially when 177-th team on UEFA ranking kill us infront 40 000 tifosi.

I think that biger gap is between 3-th and 177-th place from Mourinho's stabile team and Strama's new systm in progress. We couldn't go so low in two years that semi-amateurs clubs killing us on Meazza.

I undartand that Strama needs time but he started game with Coutinho and M'Baye like only youngsters and took both of them off. I would undarstand that he started M'Baye, Livaja, Coutinho, Longo, Duncan etc. Than that defeat would make sense, boys would got a chance to grow andthey would land on their asses.

On this way ... we can hope but ... some moves reminded me on Ranieri and I am scared for that.

What the fuck? You don't seriously use that 3rd place and 177th place difference as an argument to anything?

I can't belive you don't see a big picture. All I wanna say is that normal thing that we are going down in last two seasons. We have lost the best coach of last decade, we have sell one of brigthest talents in football world and we have sell the best striker in serie A and now we have reconstruction.

But the fact is that all of that shouldn't be excuse for home defeat against team who hasn't won european away game almost 20 yrs, a team who don't have one cent on account, from a team who takes 177 th place on UEFA club lists. And before just two years we dominated one Chelsea who is in top three clubs in footbal world.

It's a much bigger gap in results than in investments. We're still playing in same stadium, we're still buying players, we're still paying milions in salaries and we're starting to emberass ourselfs on footbal pitch. I know it's too early for such a hard critics and I hope that I am wrong but I really got burned on last season and I don't wanna se us in europa league again next season.

We often forget that a couple of months after Mourinho took over we barely managed to eke out a draw against Swiss second division club Logano, a team that would make Hajduk split look like world beaters. And the team that Mourinho inherited were league champions and he had far more resources at his disposal. Mourinho played veterans then and we still conceded two goals. Just to show how misleading one game could be, that was the game were the entire forum went crazy at how amazing RQ was.

The EL game was bad, but it wasn't all bad. The best three chances of the game fell to our club, and the two goals conceded, one was careless and the other was an epic strike that Messi would be proud of. Samuel is still working on getting his match feet and we suffered because of it. And Strama himself said he had to make do with JZ in midfield because we didn't have midfielders to play. This game was nowhere near as frustrating as the Novaro matches were we couldn't manage to create a single offensive move. A club doesn't go from good to crap in one weeks time, they literally had no chances in the first game when our CBs weren't just returning from the sidelines.

If we conceded a ton of chances in both games I would be more worried, as things stand now, we still need work but it is not all gloom and doom. I can see some of the broad strokes of Strama's plans, and a few pieces might be missing at this point, so I will refrain from being too critical at this point as I haven't yet seen what the final product will look like.

How exactly have you determined to be Andrea's strength?

In the few games he's coached, he's pretty quick to change formations or ask a player to play in a particular way to null our opponents. He does that a lot. He reads tactics usually in the 1st 15minutes. He failed to do all that in the last game...

He have done Ranieri last game, I don't wanna see that ever again.

Klopp last night losing 0-2, whole team playing bad and perfect substitutions almost make it. That's a way to do it.

Really Sun? Cuz I've seen otherwise, especially games that we fell behind in
But that's such a small sample to determine anything...

That was my point.

Strama has his off days. No 2 ways about it, but it doesnt change the fact that he has the ability to read/adjust. He can read it and get it wrong too, right? With experience that can get better :hoping:

So in this mercato, we have changed our targeted strategy from 4231 to 4321 with creative CMs to a 4321 with DMs and attacking fullbacks. Sign of Strama being a flexible and adaptive coach or just a fucked up mercato?

This. There is no flexibility if you have no plan. The mercato closes in about 15 days so its pretty safe to say we did what we wanted too by now. I expect a panic buy or two in the last few days like usual that will create even more problems then we already have.

Basically the usual stuff over the last 3 years. Strama might also end up fired since this team is incapable of performing as expected.

Not necessarily, it could very well be we are going for Pereira as a wingback rather than a fullback.

Every time Strama has ever used the 4-2-3-1, one of the 3 was a fullback.

Having a wingback allows the formation to switch to a 4-3-2-1 when we don't have possession.

I never wanna see Zanetti and Cambiasso together in midfield again...we saw how things went vs Hajduk :)

I just wan't Strama to work on quick transition from defence to attack...we are to slow at getting the ball from defenders to forwards... i hope he gets the players he wants and works on that...

Strama has already said he doesn't want JZ in midfield and he only played him there last game because we didn't have options in midfield.
