A lot of rumours are pointing out to him. CDS, Gazzetta and now Di Marzio as well.

Yeah I agree it's warranted.

Almost thought I'd never see a name like this again in our rumored players section.

Barcelona very interested in ex Real Madrid star worth €50m

Barcelona are definitely joining the race for PSG star Angel Di Maria.

Le Parisien write that Barcelona are very interested in the Argentine star, and want to make him a key cog of their midfield.

Despite his past as a Real Madrid player, Di Maria has been linked to Barcelona before, where he’d join his friends, Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano.

He’s already been rumoured to have sent his representatives to the Catalan club in the past few weeks.

The Argentine isn’t happy about a recent raid from the French tax police, as part of a sting in which he’s accused of having hidden over €5 million in tax havens.

Inter were recently reported to be ahead of everyone in the sweepstakes: the Corriere dello Sport claiming that the Nerazzurri have offered PSG €50 million.

The 29-year-old’s current salary is huge, €7 million a year. Di Maria started the season badly, but recovered to score 15 goals and make 8 assists in all competitions.

Just what I've expected. People here are happy to sell Perisic for 60m because they THINK that Inter will smartly use that money to buy multiple quality young players like Berardi/Bernardeschi and a defender/fullback.

No, we sell an already settled-in Perisic only to splash all of his sale money on a near-30 years old gamble winger who needs to settle in a new league/team.

I've said the same about Candreva's retarded transfer last summer when most people were happy about it, so let's see how this one turns out.

I don't think your comparison is fair. Di Maria is a world class winger who has played in CL finals, World cup finals and at PSG, Real, United whereas Candreva hasn't. We need world class experienced winners here.

Agree with your point on signing world class players in other positions though.

I didn't say that Di Maria isn't world class. My problem is with his reported cost. I'd support his transfer if he's being signed for free (out of contract) or on major discount. You don't spend 50m on nearly 30 years old players unless you're stacked with quality players in every position and have less FFP restrictions like Juve.

I'm comparing him to Candreva because we've wasted on the latter 25m that could've been spent on a quality CB instead of gambling on a 30 years old winger with no resale value. It's the same scenario with Di Maria right now.

Di Maria pretty much carried Madrid when he was there. If we're to do a swap with Perisic, I'd be all up for it.

I agree but how much resale value will Juve get for Higuain once he reaches 32/33? Imo, we should not only treat these players like Capital products producing Capital gains/losses. Their returns (more exploration), should be considered as well.

Eder and Candreva up front?

Oh right, so because he'd be expensive, I'm automatically supposed to like and approve of this transfer? And just because Suning have a lot of money, you want me to clap in my hands everytime they do something? What the fuck kind of logic is that.

Look at the reported transfer sum, the wages he's sure to collect, his age, and the fact that we have other, more urgent position to fill, and you'll find that there's a lot more to having a negative opinion of this than just 'complaining'.
That's without me saying if I'm for or against, but stop putting people with different opinions than yourself in boxes. Stop.

Also, you've done this in numerous threads. Again, stop.

no,no...people here think they can do better job than our mgmt...without even knowing the details in the background...that pisses me off...saying nay to every fucking decision the club makes...like it's a challenge or smth...not everything is bad done at Inter...opposed to the popular opinion

you can have whatever opinion you like I don't oppose to it...but I have a right to call it wrong from my point of view
maybe I named it wrong when I wrote complaining I admit that

Di Maria pretty much carried Madrid when he was there.

??

I mean yeah he had his moments in crucial matches, but I never saw that at all.

Aside from the super goal scoring CR7, the real MVP of that squad during that time was Xabi Alonso, IMO. He was the glue of that squad.

If you remember back when P$G has a new (filthy rich) owner, they have to overspent as hell for good (not great) players Cavani-Pastore-Lucas... over 45m each, crazy price at that time. Plus former world class player, but old (Motta).

I used to support the idea of buying young prospect. But I have changed my mind since I realize there is ONLY ONE talent managed to really benefit the first team (Icardi). In the other cases we simply wasted our time. Sometimes we did scout gems, but sold immediately after they could somehow expose flashy moment. Omg there is no word to describe how stupid that Cou-Kova-Kondo bs is... It's like Porto-type-of-logic, a selling club but without profit

Hence what is the point of buying youngster (Bernardeschi)? Why not buying really good player to use (Di Maria), although expensive, but it is like compensation of developing fees for the other clubs?

Please don't get me wrong, it is only the temporary solution based on current situation. In 1-2 years, when having a solid winning core, then start thinking of youth prospects. Having a dozen of losers (despite talents) won't lead us anywhere. Having a champion will.

I think he was one of Reals best players that last season and I was surpriced that he was sold for United! Maybe he was not that good looking for Perez?

I would be very happy if he come!

You've skipped this part from my post:

Juve have already filled every position with quality players before signing Higuan. They don't have other extreme priorities like us. They can afford luxury signings.

We can't keep making luxury transfers like Gabigol, and then complain that we can't buy quality defenders/fullbacks because of FFP restrictions. That's retarded.

Even though Di Maria is one of my favorite players I have to agree with Adnan.

We don't need Di Maria. Di Maria is better suited to a team like Juve who as Adnan said already have a complete team and just looking for some experience to win the CL.

Bernardeschi would cost around the same and is much younger.
