What kinda shit do you wanna watch? Fantasy, slice of life, something short or long?

I second Varmin's suggestion of Darker Than Black, especially the first season. Steins Gate is awesome, easily one of my favorites of all time including the second season.

I'm sick and tired of anime that is only 2 season long. I want as many episodes as possible so I don't need to find another anime

I like fantasy. Some shows I've seen that I've really liked: Hunter X Hunter, Naruto, Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul(they ruined it though, I'd be able to shed 1 or 2 tears if not for that), Akame ga Kill, Boku No Hero Academia, Attack On Titan, Sword Art Online, rurouni kenshin, demon slayer.

The ones the I enjoyed most: Hunter X Hunter, Naruto, Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul, Demon Slayer

And no I don't want to watch One Piece

I've only let myself watch 2 shows that is from 90s and that is Naruto and Rurouni Kenshin. The graphic just kills me.

People shit on Tokyo Ghoul (and rightly so I guess) because some aspects differed from the Manga but even though it was rushed, I still enjoyed it a lot. You should give Darker Than Black a try.

You'd probably like Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Soul Eater, maybe even Gintama if you like really long animes (though I haven't gotten into it yet). I'd recommend Monster too as it's 70+ episodes but depends on if you want to watch a mystery anime with a slightly older style to it. If you haven't watched Dragonball Z, you really should as it's fucking sick. You don't really need to watch Dragonball if you can't get into that anime style, but Dragonball Z Kai is like a remastered version, not as good imo as it cuts some good filler, but definitely an option.

I hate having to look for new anime, but sometimes short ones are awesome to watch and kill time like Zankyou No Terror (Terror in Resonance), Death Parade and especially ERASED.

Funny that you mention Monster. I actually was 18 episodes in but it just managed to get boring. The first 1-3 episodes was really fucking interesting I can't understand how it got so boring...

Man, I still listen to some music that I heard from Tokyo Ghoul since every song has so much feeeeeeeeeeel behind it. I still remember that scene where he was carrying his friend next to the cops, best scene I've ever seen. I wish they remake that show and do it well this time.

I'll put those suggestions on the list. Dragonball isn't that intriguing to be honest.

Psycho Pass is worth if you missed it. (although the second season is not so good)

Actually it seems that Psycho Pass has third season. I've missed it. Have to see it.

You have to watch in order!

Chronological Order
Psycho-Pass (2012)
Psycho-Pass 2 (2014)
Psycho-Pass Movie (2015)
Psycho-Pass Sinners of the System Case 1: Tsumi to Bachi (2019)
Psycho-Pass Sinners of the System Case 2: First Guardian (2019)
Psycho-Pass Sinners of the System Case 3: Onshuu no Kanatai ni (2019)
Psycho-Pass 3 (2019)

Sure, Season One is better than the second one, but still all together I'd say this is the best anime thriller ever created, also one of the best sci-fis. I find it strange how some people don't understand the story, it's a lot more understandable than Steins;Gate.

I love the Haikyuu anime. So good.

I recently watched this too. Never thought I could care so much about a volleyball anime. Just about finished with Neon Genesis Evangelion - did not expect it to be nearly as depressing as it is

Well you just watched some elite shit right there, Haikyuu is at the peak of the sports genre and NGE is like godfather in anime terms. Now watch Berserk (1997), cunt.

CC, as Howl said, watch Gintama and Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. Two of the funniest shows. Shame Gintama starts with two weak filler episodes, but after that it's mayhem and even the filler episodes are gold.

Jojo is a bit on the creepy horror side, but only slightly.

Another crazy one is Kill La Kill, but I liked Scissor Seven more. Both are similar, just that KLK is more sexual, and SS is actually chinese anime.

And also watch all the Ghibli movies ;)

Is Gintama based on Comedy? I'm not into anime purely about comedy.

Berzerk will hurt my eyes bro if its from 1997. I only gave Naruto that chance and Kenshin. I'm not going into that madness again

I can see why. With Monster it can tend to drag with the filler, but I personally enjoyed it all the way to the end, it was such a well done anime for me, and definitely different to the usual stuff I watched a few years ago.

And yeah the Tokyo Ghoul sountrack is insane man, I think the reason why I liked the anime so much was the emotion the music gave it.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is another anime that gets kinda emotional. Fairy Tail too apparently, but I don't think i'm ready to watch that yet.

You cunt, it's still worth it. But if you still want to stick to your cunt ways then watch this instead https://myanimelist.net/anime/10218/Berserk__Ougon_Jidai-hen_I_-_Haou_no_Tamago?q=berserk&cat=anime (which is a 3 part movie for the anime, pretty condensed of course).

I forgot to say that Berserk is like the Game of Thrones of anime, just better.

Is Gintama based on Comedy? I'm not into anime purely about comedy.

It's a parody of the shonen genre, always poking fun at Dragonball, One Piece, Bleach and especially Naruto.

BUT!

It also has a serious long arching story about Gin, his teacher and the other pupils, you get to know the Shinsengumi, and the whole city has some really dope backstories... so while you laugh at how Gintama doesn't take anything seriously, that's just a way for the serious to never get too stale with all the stories. If only other animes knew how to balance this as well as Gintamas mangaka.

So yeah, it's long, it's kinda finished (and by the time you finish it, January 2021 is when the last movie comes out that ends it all) and it's definitely one of my favourite animes.

And with pure badassery like this scene...

I've seen Berserk, or at least the original seasons. I only watched a half dozen episodes of the new stuff. Is that worth going back to?

I think in the new Breserk the story goes further than the end of old anime (1997).
Anyway most of the people I know, went straight to a manga after the compliment of the anime. It's addictive.

Finally, my loud cries are answered and someone is amusing me, thank you Shaun *kiss emoji*.

Sadly the answer is absolutely not, Berserk has some very poor adaptations, the 1997 anime (which is only one season so not sure what you mean with the original seasons?) is a very good one but is old and the 3 part movies cover the same arc. The sequel with its 2 seasons (2016 & 2017) are absolute garbage and as an avid fan of the manga I'll distract people from it. Like varmin said most people who really enjoyed the original show just continued the story by reading the manga, and many of them, like me, were manga virgins before. So if you're that interested you could try reading otherwise unfortunately there's no other TV work you could watch, or more accurately I'd recommend for you to watch.

With the beautiful soundtrack of the show, it adds quite an experience if you listen to it while reading by the way (my poor attempt to persuade).

Iv tried a couple episode from Neon Genesis and Iv gotta admit it looks bland and boring as fuck. Also I just cant relate to the main character, another little wimp, beta crybaby. I know this is often the case in Jap Animes where the main character goes through a metamorphose from wimp to hero but Iv seen it before and im good. Its like night and day if you compare it to something like Yu Yu Hakusho. The main guy in this show probably looks more like a trouble maker - delinquent anti hero with the heart on the right place kind. Which is like a blessing from god, thank you.

It was refreshing to see even though its an old anime, and the story was good, not exceptional but satisfying. Same for the fights, and the graphic style looks awesome. An underrated little gem imo. Glad Iv discovered it and took the time to watch. Also Dorohedoro is the shit, so fucking great:pazzini:
