A club with not to much money on its bank account and without Champions League participation decides to spend a considerable amount of cash on a 29 years old player as the club hopes the player will keep on doing magic at his new club and ultimately be the missing piece.

We should have a similar focus to what most of the successful German clubs are doing; Build up a (winning) culture with young players.

Reading some of the posts one could mistakenly assume that Candreva is some 35 year old has been who should be thinking MLS. Its fucking ridiculous. He is 29 for crying out loud, and has had a better last two seasons than any midfielder or winger at Inter in that period - I mean, its not even close. Maybe Perisic in the last 6 months has been Candreva's level.

At a time when Juventus just dropped 94 fucking million on a 28 year old, and Manchester United signed a 34 year old on €15m wages pa... should put things in perspective, surely.

Either Inter should forget about CL for a few years and invest on young players like Jesus.... or be prepared to spend some serious money on quality 26-30 year olds to focus on CL qualification. We clearly don't have the finances to do both in todays market.

I can't think of anyone that can come in for a similar price and perform as candreva in the attacking and defensive phase as Mancini requires.

We could bank on youth but it's a risk that may not yield rewards now. Our two direct rivals have been weakened and it's out chance to go for champions league, which we need! Candreva is a sure bet for me.

I don't know how you want me to prove that he is fast declining. You compare his last season with the one before it and you can tell. But anyways, look at the graph on transfermarkt. That's an indication.
