If Cassano comes, I actually want Pazzo to stay. Pazzano combo when they were with Samp was devastating.

It would be my dream, always wanted Cassano at Inter, as he is one of my favorite players.

And for those who were asking for an evidence that he is an interista, it was in the first pages of this thread:

"A due giorni dalla sfida con l'Inter, Antonio Cassano rivela che il suo cuore è sempre stato nerazzurro. "Io sono tifoso interista, lo sono sempre stato fin dalla nascita"

Two days before the game with Inter, Antonio Cassano reveals that his heart has always been nerazzurro. "I am an Inter fan, and have always been since my birth"

These are the words from 2008, i think, and if i'm not mistaken it was from an interview with sky sports.

Well, it doesn't really matter if he is an Interista or not, players nowadays play for money and money only, so we should just focus on the players skills and the deal that is going trough which are both great. I mean we get an extra player, getting rid of Pazzini and gaining at least 10M euros up our pocket. I hope that his heart problems are over, and guess Combi will inform if there is something wrong, i don't think that even BB Merda are that stupid, to give Cassano+money for Pazzini, sounds too good to be true.

Great (possible) transfer. Cassano is the real fantasista who can be the perfect player to support any strikers that depend on positioning awareness like Milito and Palacio. With him playing, the pressure on Sneijder will also be reduced as the opposition defenders' concentration is divided into the two. There is still a negative thing, though: he is not the same player as he was before the heart surgery. We can see from his performance in Euro 2012 that he's losing some of his stamina and mobility, but the magic is still there on his feet (see his assist to Balotelli in the match versus Germany). He can't be a 90-minute player for all matches in season, that's for sure. But, due to the same reason, we could give opportunity for the young Coutinho to gradually take his place in the starting eleven, and to study under the rare breed of player.

He is younger then Antonio Cassano 2 year, and pazzini dont have any suregry thats why Pazzini is valued more

I don't understand why are you so happy about this rumor.

Cassano is great but how would he fit in our tactics? Naming a bunch of technical gifted players doesn't give you the results.

He could be useful in a 4312 as the 2nd striker but we don't have the midfielders for that tactic nor the 4-5 strikers to cover up those 2 positions.
He can't play as a winger because he is far away from having the right attitude/strength to run down his opponent.
The only possibility would be to use him in a 4321 along Sneijder. But we already have Cou , Alvarez and Palacio for that so we don't need another one.

As a conclusion i think we don't need him at all. + I don't see any reason why we should be the one to resolve milan's problem by getting Cassano from them and giving them another striker.

Well :p situation has changed...

Apparently they are resolving our problem by getting Pazzini from us AND FUCKING PAYING us , so nothing i've said above really matters.

Getting cassano + money (to pay his wage) would be a good deal even if he was a fucking gk. Although i'm really worried about Cou & Alvarez now. Anxious to see how Strama is going to shape our formation now.....

Not gona happen for sure. I think one of the reasons why we are pushing for Cassano is to take some money for Pazzo (making easier for Milan to sign him).

Fixed.

But I was just being an asshole. I actually agree with Han. Like I said the other day, even replacing Pazzini with Cassano is still insufficient.

I know it's only pre-season, but Milito's been looking very similar to Mr. August 2010 - December 2011 again. Milito, Cassano, Palacio and.... Longo?.. Livaja?.... Castaignos? :yao::yao::yao:

For me it's not a matter of reforming that Samp duo, it's about having a deep, effective and versatile strikeforce. Personally I want Pazzini to stay, but Strama decided to go skullfuck any possibility of that happening.

If Pazzo stayed we wouldn't have nothing to offer Milan for Cassano and he wouldn't join us. So It's either one or the other and I'd swap them right away.

With such quality AMFs even I would score loads of goals :D IDK seemingly we don't have money for another pure striker but we have Palacio that would do well. I'd keep Longo - If he can't get playing time or underperforms when called we could loan him in January. Two and a half strikers are enough for one CF position.

 twilight zone hehehehe. However, I agree with you guys as well. We'll still need a dynamic CF after this, unless they're relying on Longo to pull it out of his ass: and under normal circumstances that'll be a miracle.

If replacing Pazzini with cassano means we will no longer look for any forwards, then I'm not sure if i want this deal to go through...imo we need one more guy upfront, no big signing whatsoever, but a decent backup.

Milito, Palacio and Cassano as our strikers is not enough for you? IMO it is totally enough since we're gonna play with one pure striker. Cassano will play lower and Palacio can cover Milito or lower forward positions. Sneijder, Coutinho and Alvarez will play lower forward / offensive midfielder positions.

It's actually very balanced and multifunctional set of offensive players if Cassano arrives to replace Pazzo. Only thing we are lacking then is a pure target type center forward but apparently and seemingly Stramaccioni doesn't prefer such role in his team.

We still need replacement for Milito if he gets injured. Pure Center foward. Palacio can make difference, but we need another CF.

Getting Cassano means:

1. that Coutinho won't be safe starter
2. Coutnho will get perfect role model (playin style)
3. that Milito doesn't have place for shity preformances because Cassano and Coutinho can fit SS positions and Palacio can be striker
