Mancini was a great coach in his day, with good eye for talent especially, but currently Conte would be picked by almost everyone with half a brain. Also, Man City was built by just throwing money on top of the problem until it goes away, whereas the Juve team that Conte made champions was a complete joke when you look at it, their best transfers were Milan reject Prilo then almost 33 and some dude from Leverkusen, alongside players like Vucinic and Matri for 15M each...

Campionati are not won in December... We can still do a Inter bells/balls and drop to 4th place...

With Spalletti yes, I would bet my life on that.
With Conte unlikely, if we just don't end up having all the key players in infirmary. I mean we are not going to choke due to lack of morale like it was before with flaccid coaches like Spalletti at the helm

To brehme, we didn't play in CL that season 17/18

The Juventus team that Conte made champions was Agnelli's doing. The sooner you accept this the better. The fact that they haven't lost a league ever since despite looking dreadful 6 out of 9 playing months just reinforces this. Not sure on the actual numbers now or the record, but Juventus in 2011-12 probably had the most cards (yellow + red) against their opponents. What we saw that year was an impressive refereeing recital.

And of course they picked up momentum. People are too quick to comment on Conte, but the real reason Juventus sucked before him was because they were explicitly holding out for investments until that season which was their stadium opener. And I wouldn't call their roster shit. Shittier than today, obviously yes, but no team was constructed this way. This is a mid 2010s type of team buidling where the ultra rich can afford essentially 2 rosters whilst their rivals can barely afford 1. This is what Bayern started doing at the same time (compare their 2010-11 roster with their 2015-16 roster for example), Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man City etc. The comparison should be against your peers.

Milan's team had Robinho, Muntari, Nocerino, Emanuelson, Abate, Ambrosini, Aquilani, Antonini and Bonera.... And they were actually a good team.
Our team had Nagatomo, Obi, Pazzini, Alvarez, Zarate, Poli, Forlan and we used Faraoni quite a lot... Our team wasn't really that bad though but obviously we could have done a lot better.

By the way, these are not just roster players, they were amongst the players with most minutes of both squads.

Now Juventus had Pirlo and Vidal as you said. Anyone doubting Vidal's quality from Leverkusen clearly does not understand how a very good player looks like. Letting go of Pirlo was a huge mistake by Milan. Then Juventus signed Lichtsteiner who was probably the 2nd best right back in Serie A the year before. Vucinic was a pretty good forward and carried Roma in the previous years when he had to. Chiellini started emerging as a top center back when until that season he was something between a left back and a center back. Barzagli coming back to Italy was also a good transfer. They also got Giaccherini who's had some excellent seasons with Cesena and everyone wanted to buy him at the time. Sure, they did have their flops or completely average players, but it's not like they were the 10th team of Italy in quality. They were on par with Inter and Milan and came over because of FIGC, their new stadium effect and the lack of interest of both Moratti and Berlusconi to set things straight.
Attributing all that to Conte and Marotta (ie the purely football part of Juventus) is naive and ignorant of the situation.

Now as for Conte himself as a coach, he's of course a rather good one. No one doubts his quality. His heart is what has been doubted. He's still the same person he always was. That does not change even with 11m a year.

We've had serious injuries and yet the intensity hasn't dropped one bit. We generally still have the same approach to games. We havent been overly conservative to mitigate the loss of our creative players.

I would be shocked if we maintained this position until the new year, but more shocked if we fuck it up and slip two spots.

Why despise him while he gave 2 CL tickets to us? He was the transition step. You must be really delusional if you think Conte would have come directly to a mess not even in Europa League.
Agree bro, we should respect spaletti

we can search for statistics and excuses as much we want but imagine now this team could play without CL in February-March*, our players have more time to prepare the games and have more pause. Barella and Sanchez will be back and we will have 2-3 new players... + (the most important thing) we keep working like we are doing now: things can only get better, this team can win the Serie A at this point. Specialy if Juve will qualify for (at last) the semifinal of the CL, they will lose some points more.

* Or EL. But at that point i would play the bench and have the starters ready for the Serie A games.

Of course it's early to make predictions. And it's true that Inter already failled to win the scudetto after being first for some months. But it's also true that our squad is improved from that years, specialy the midfield. But also the coach. Conte is simply a winner. Today i was thinking how strange it is watching a Inter at the first December playing a great game (second half not that much, but we still had got good chances to score at last) and being on top of the table. I almost forgot what it means to have such a winner team, we are amazing at the moment. Hopefully we can say the same things not only at the first December, but also in some months! Grande Conte.

I agree, just like in 2016, 2018 and now in 2020, we are in a position to aim for the Scudetto. This is the first time we have the resources to do that but I'm afraid we've already spent over our limit so we must hope that we receive 100m from Icardi and Barbosa in winter in order to do just that. I don't think it will happen as PSG has no reason to pull the trigger now and I'm not sure we can sell Barbosa for more than 25m but one can hope.

I haven't even bothered with our winter mercato strategy yet but I can easily predict it if our sales department is dry. Try to get a couple of players on a dry loan (Vidal or Rakitic) which will take all January long, go for someone like Giroud and give him a deal until 2022 and then probably make a harmless panic move or just do nothing.

A Vidal and a Giroud would be already decent. But yeah i would like to have another midfielder more and sell Valero.

With Jose at the Spurs, perhaps Inter can get a "deal". To bad we didn 't pull the trigger on Llorente. Go with our youth if options are wanting.

A deal for who? I don't think Mourinho is very fond of our new management anyway.

Just like at Chelsea back then, when he gifted us the legendary Wallace

Hell I don't know Rose perhaps, coupled with the fact was there really friction with our management?

Meh, this season or the 2015–16 one... it's all the same shit, clueless one-trick coaches riding some mad luck. Maybe Pioli is also a genius, he had a formidable win-streak?

Dunno, Conte won some shit recently, that's the only minor difference I can see in your comparisons.

Pioli was a genius during that period according to majority of this forum together with Candreva and Gagliardini

it was right for him to play his best squad available for SPAL.
it turned out to be a quite difficult match...
I thought he would bench lautaro since he one yellow card away from suspension.., but he played him and toro won us the game
