“Last summer our union did not happen because the end of my relationship with Inter was still too recent and emotionally too involved with the end of the season, so I felt that it wasn’t yet the right time to return to coaching.

But the contagious enthusiasm and determination of Daniel Levy in wanting to entrust me with this task had already hit the mark. Now that the opportunity has returned, I have chosen to take it with great conviction.”
Did Levy himself write this statement?

But if he doesn't, does he qualify as "finished"?
no, why would he?
that would be his first club that he didnt won the league,
i think many others could qualify as finished but I wouldnt say he is...

He already had the squad playing 11 vs 11 yesterday in training and both played 3-5-2. Interesting times indeed at Spurs.

Can he do it on a windy night in Stoke?

His comments about not wanting to start a new adventure because he was still attached to Inter is hard to believe. But who knows maybe he tattooed the Inter Colours on his ass and we all don’t know.

It's a shot at Agnelli for not offering him the Juventus job.

Great move by Levy speaking strictly in terms of competitiveness on the pitch. After Pep and Klopp, they have the best coach imo. I'm not sure about Paratici in this role. Romero is great, but his work at Rube is vomit/lol-inducing.

He should have waited for ManUtd, though, if the opportunity was real at all.

It's a great move from Levy in terms of PR and for short term results. But if he doesn't back Conte in the following transfer windows, it could backfire pretty badly.

As for Conte. he wanted to return to coaching immediately after his divorce with Inter but the issue for him is there are no top seats available as top teams tend to overlook him for one reason or another. Liverpool, City and Chelsea are set with coaches. Man Utd didn't even hire Conte after getting destroyed by Liverpool at OT because of his character. Real preferred Ancelotti. Barcelona and Bayern would never go for Conte for different reasons. Juventus are the only Italian team that can afford him but this isn't an option as long as Agnelli is there. The only potential opening could be PSG where Poch is struggling but i really can't imagine Conte dealing with PSG divas.

If Conte didn't want to take a sabbatical, Spurs were his only option.

Exactly like Il Drago explained. And in the summer Levy didn't offer a good enough package for Conte.

I guess now he called Conte and said like "okay, you get what you want, come over here". I expect Levy to give a good warchest for Paratici and Conte. If not, Conte is not gonna be around there for too long.

Yeah, he was always a weird fit for the very best clubs like ManUtd, RM et al....I'm sure he wanted ManUtd, though, badly lol They are fools.

I'm reading that Conte wants Kessie. This looks like very probable rumour as Kessie was linked to us before, and he has only couple of months to the end of his contract.

He won his first game 3-2 vs Vitesse in Conference league. Vitesse was actully playing much better and Spurs were pretty lucky to win.
