STAY PLEASE

Stranger things have happened but I think he’s relatively content as our manager at the moment. Don’t see him leaving this summer.

Grazie Conte. And to all the players. They’ve had to really dig deep this season. It hasn’t always been pretty but fuck me if it wasn’t effective

Thanks Mister. I was always against his signing but he delivered and we won dominantly..

Now please work on getting past the knockout stages and putting in some respectable performances in the CL.

Thank you sir, a juve legend has entered our history books. Sounds disgusting to say, but nonetheless, it’s worth it.

Grande. 4 games still to play. What a dominant way of winning it.

Crashing out of CL early without any European competition to play for after seems to be worth it after all. It's not like we had a chance to win it anyway. Some people would say the money loss from it is a big deal. Fuck that. I would rather have the Scudetto than the CL money. We are football fans, not fucking financial auditors. Trophies matter most to me.

There is no excuse for not doing well in CL next season though. We are Italian champions. We'll be in Pot 1. We'll be able to attract more quality players to join us, given our reputation as champions now. Hence, putting up a good showing in CL is an absolutely must next season.

Grazie Conte. Forza Inter. :proud:

If he could get us to the last 16 next season that would be fine with me. Focus needs to be on the second star!!!!!

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has failed to finish top of the league (in Europe) in just 3 full seasons since 2003. 2011-12: Lost to Antonio Conte's Juve / 2016-17: Lost to Antonio Conte's Chelsea / 2020-21: Lost to Antonio Conte's Inter.

if this stat is true, i love it.

Not much time lately with 2 month daughter, but can't omit such ocasion to say thank you mister, for your dedication and holding to your guns through all this shit that was thrown at you over those 2 years, most totally undeserving.

Fantastic coach. Has his flaws, but which coach or human being doesn't. He will have serious discussion with the management, but that's to be expected. After all, he expects the best from his players, so why he shouldn't expect the same from his bosses? That's part of his character and you can't have one without the other.

Regarding his run in CL. It's just a matter of time when it clicks. Time and chance, that's it. Conte is a great coach, and it doesn't change once we hear CL anthem. The best teams crash in CL sooner or later, but some have to, because all can't win it. If Conte could overachieve with Italy with Eder and Graziano Pele, then he can surely do us justice. Three times a charm, and Allegri himself said recently that everybody will be very surprised at Inter in next season in CL. One of the few times I agree with a guy.

If he and Marotta stays, and Suning will not do keep us on hold (or a new owner), then we'll get back to the top. I'm sure of it. It's just a matter of time.

The Nerazzurri secured their 19th Serie A title this afternoon, their first in 11 years, ending the nine-season Juventus dominance.

“We feel happy, satisfied, relaxed, because bringing the Scudetto back to Inter with four rounds to spare makes us very happy,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia.

“We want to continue doing well for the remaining four rounds and give space to those who haven’t played as much. They know what I expect from them and what we want to see.”

Inter locked down their defence in the last 17 rounds and that proved a huge difference, as during that period they were trailing for a total of 45 minutes.

“There was tactical progress. Over the years we tried a few different options. We had started a bit like we ended last season, pressing high all over the pitch, and that brought good results, as we finished one point behind Juventus and reached the Europa League Final.

“In the first 10-12 games this season, we tried to have that same identity. However, the opponents study you and we were often caught out on the counter-attack. The issue this year was our opponents found the right counter-measures.

“I think a winning team must have balance between attacking and defending. The lads learned to read the game and which moment to press, which moment to sit back in our own half and wait. That’s the sign of a mature team.”

Sassuolo seemed to represent a turning point tactically in Week 9, when Inter seemed content to cede possession.

“We changed during the year, as we have alternated between a diamond and two playmakers, so either Eriksen or Sensi next to Brozovic. Sassuolo are well-trained in possession and passing, so we knew that if we won the ball back, we’d have the whole pitch open up in front of us.

“A coach has to understand how to hurt the opponent, but also not lose your own identity. We never lost our identity, as when we have the ball, we know exactly what we need to do. We also know exactly what to do when we don’t have the ball.

“The tactical maturation of the players was the difference and there was no comparison with the other teams this season.”

The Scudetto winners have been criticised this season, particularly in recent months, for being negative and even boring.

“Inter play modern football, from building out from the back to a high press, to waiting for the right moment to strike. These players have learned how to do everything and above all read the game, which means also knowing our own limitations and work to improve them.

“I think the first goal we scored against Crotone yesterday was another work of art. Only a blind person could look at that passing move and not see the beauty in it. These are players who know where to go and where to pass.

“Some people seem to think players just wonder around and happen to be in those positions by chance. I can assure you there’s a lot of hard work involved and it’s important to know without even looking that Lukaku is there and Eriksen will run into that space.

“That’s all something to have in your locker, then of course there’s the creativity of the individual and the quality in the finish or the final ball.”

Conte’s rapport with his players wasn’t always smooth sailing, particularly with the likes of Christian Eriksen and Ivan Perisic.

“The thing that most irritated me when I was a player was the coach saying a nice lie to keep me happy. I think you appreciate an honest but harsh statement more than a well-meaning lie. The players know any decision I make is for the good of the team.

“My initial idea when I arrived at Inter was for Perisic to be a wing-back, as I knew he had the characteristics for it. You can have all the ideas you want, but you need the player to put in the effort and be ready to do that work.

“Ivan had just come off several seasons playing different roles and he was not prepared to do that, so he went on loan to Bayern Munich. He returned with a different mentality.

“I think Perisic is such a great player with fantastic physical strength, he’s good in the air, he has quality taking players on. I just needed him to be ready to do that kind of work and once he did, he began playing regularly.

“He also knows full well that I expect more from him, because he has the quality to do even better.”

Conte moulded this Inter squad in his image and won’t shy away from that responsibility.

“The best thing I found at Inter was a group that trusted me completely. They trusted my leadership and my vision. That is the greatest thing.

“The lads developed and matured over the year and that’s what we needed. The Inter players are no longer those who participated. They are players who won.”

Luka, Thank you for posting! And congratulations on the birth of your little girl Mate!

A big thank you to Conte for his efforts over the last two seasons. The irony of winning this Championship has not been lost on me. To have a Juventus legend as a coach at Inter, who began and then ended his former club's Serie A hegemony for their greatest rival simply makes me shake my head in disbelief. It could not possibly have been scripted any better!

We have endured alot of shit moments over the last decade and right now, if there is one thing that I love about this team, it is their consistency and their ability to grind out results. Yes, there have been times when it has not been very pretty but I would take that any day over the way we used to play over the last decade, when the team was erratic, inconsistent and we had no idea what they were going to do on match day.

Conte has taught this team character in terms of how to play, fight, come back from a goal down, grind, struggle, and still win games. They are attributes that we have been sadly lacking for the best part of a decade. They are the attributes needed for a team to win a Championship and they are the attributes of our coach. I am grateful that he has managed to build a team that is solid and plays with certainty, patience, and quiet determination.

His achievement is no small feat and I feel nothing but gratitude.

The only other thought that I would like to add is that I love each and every one of you and being able to share this moment with you.

Thank you Mister!
FORZA INTER!

Great posts by Luka and Puma, you said it all.

Marotta brought the order to the club, Conte brought the order to the team. He sold his idea to the team and they bought it completely.

While I agree with all that, it's time to look at the future.

With the Scudetto won, expectations will be sky high for next season. Conte is a polarizing coach with his methods, even amongst his players, so hopefully egos don't inflate and we get an even better season from the boys.

Our club might be in financial trouble. Either we sell an important player to fund incoming transfers (selling Eriksen, Lukaku,..) or we keep the SAME squad + DiMarco (bar Kolarov and Young, who are leaving) and try again.

Seriously, if somebody is really offering huuuge bucks for Lukaku, say yes and don't look back. Getting two good strikers (one experienced, one 25ish) and another LWB with the Lukaku money would be amazing.

The flaw with that is the money largely won't be reinvested. The majority of the money will be used to ease our debts, otherwise lukaku wouldn't be sold at all.

I think everyone is aware of our financial problems, which is why expectations won't be sky high next year. It will all depend on what we can / can't do on the market.

The worst thing we can do is sell Eriksen and Lukaku, but then get cheap knock-offs. I know there is debt, but since we don't have to pay all of the debt this summer, this might be the perfect summer to reinforce the squad and not buy anything next summer.
