why is the club paying Conte to leave?!

Hey guys, seems that Conte IS just another mercenary interested in his own career, seeing how he has bailed out.

OK, he probably won`t be favorites on paper any more and has no idea how to qualify past the group stages of UCL. But why the golden handshake?

This media circus is unnecessary. Conte has 1 year left on his contract and isn't going to walk on making 12 million euros. We're also not going to pay him a significant sum to fuck off as we want to keep him.
This post didn`t age well :eek:kay:

Tottenham would have to compensate us with 13m euros. Not bad.
Why give him money if HE is the one breaking the contract?! :chan: Conte should be the oney paying, not the other way around!

Conte is at 13m net.
Allegri (which we aimed as the alternative last season) would be 7m net.
Simone Inzaghi (top replacement candidate atm) is earning...2m net.

If Zhang is going to cut cost THAT much, fuck him. Most very good coach will accept 7m net per season, no need to go that far to that fraud Inzaghi.
Yes, except Zhang fucked up by giving 7m already for Conte`s handshake. So why not keep him 1 more year instead of just wasting money and excellent assistants?

Guess I need to keep on reading 20 more pages.... :work:

This is something that I dont understand also. If we want to keep him, why should we agree to negotiate on mutual termination? He is on contract ffs
+1

My biggest fear is we will end up with Simone Inzaghi in case Conte leaves which would be terrible.
As always, very good prediction. Hats off :datass:

why not LGI

Conte is like a hot ex-girlfriend that was mentally unstable but wild in bed. You might have had a lot of fun together, but the relationship was doomed from the beginning.
Starting to think I keep attracting these kind of girls because I`m an Inter supporter

I dont understand why there's any suggestion of Inter paying this guy compensation if he walks away from his contract.
+1

Baffled as to why we'd even pay him 1 cent if he's not honouring his contract.
+1

The hate is actually on the management. Why the fuck are we still paying him 7.5m If he's the one who wanted to leave?
Exactly, the Chinese got it all wrong. Should have kept the coach to keep the illusion ongoing, at least!

We should have played hardball with him. I dont agree with paying him to get out of his contract. He has 1 more year left. Honor it and do your job or forfeit the money.

Pathetic job by our management
+1, what are the Chinese smoking?! Smells like shit.

If we fire him - fair enough, compensation is due. But if we dont fire him, that guy should fucking fulfill his contract. And if he doesn't want to fulfill it, then he doesnt get paid jack shit.

Anyone knows why Inter payed Conte 7m to leave now? Just for not joining juBentus this summer is a stupid move, waste of money.

Had the same first impression, as he is refusing to compete without having the best squad on paper.

However, imagine if the company owner continuously postpones a crucial meeting with you and then tells you all the "good news" regarding wage cut and players sales? Conte may be a mercenary, but club owners failed him miserably. Perhaps that`s why he is getting the golden handshake - as the Chinese feel guilty about it?

Giving the finger to Agnelli is a case for LGI. Let alone win scudetto

Please don`t let this trophy blind you from the truth: club made massive investments to make it happen. He came because he knew the Chinese will spend big to close the gap.

Didn`t you read his statement about dedicating the scudetto to himself? :palm: We knew that Conte`s EGO is huge, just look at the way he kept treating Eriksen.

Conte did not do that to honour our club, but out of personal pride and revenge. Hate seems to be more motivating to him than love.

Sorry but the final gesture tells you everything about Conte: money grabbing mercenary ;)

I guess he is counting of Real being thrown out of CL due to Superleague stuff to save him from a failure there.

 good one! :D

I thought Conte's dedication was the most odd dedication that I have heard in my life. When I first read it, I honestly thought there had been a problem translating what he said. A normal person would dedicate it to the fans or maybe even their family. But this Gobbo dedicated it to himself.

Personally, I think the dedication says alot about him: he is a self-centred, selfish, egoist that only cares about himself. And when he perceives things are not going his way, he loses his shit and walks away.

The other thought I had since his departure is that Conte destructively sabotages and destroys what he works so hard to build and if there are no problems, or the problems are minor, he deliberately sets out to build them up to be bigger than Calciopoli so he has a pretense to leave.

Honestly, I cannot help but wonder whether he has a mental health issue. Or maybe he is simply a Gobbo Cunt.

TBF to gobbo, Zidane stepped down twice due to lack of support without burning any bridges. It's definitely a Conte thing.

Fuck that, I understand his dedication. He got threatened with bullets and stuff, you underrate how much he suffered while at Inter. Everyone only looks at the money he got, but not at the fact that we screwed him over regarding the project, the fact that he was personally attacked, etc..

Wait, he got attacked? I'd take a higher salary even if it comes with getting threatened. And he probably got threatened by rube maybe that's why he got that scared?

Tell me one superstar who don't get threatened. Even fucking twitch stars get it, is Conte expecting to have the backing of Maffia? When Neymar left Barcelona some fans sang about how they were hoping he would die. It comes with the job. Is this something new to you guys?

Poor gobbo :(

He's now in for a long (?) wait until the new Man Utd leadership figures out that Solksjaer has no clue of what he's doing. Then he'll have to pray that they also don't know what they'll getting into if they approach him and offer him the job

Dude, he has so much money that he can easily sit out a year or two. Sooner or later a club will come knocking.

If he goes to United, I don't see him repeat what he has done at Inter  Imagine buying Lukaku back

Where will he find someone like Marotto to offer him a job and a golden hand shake?

This guy is going to be really pissed for leaving money on the table if he ends up jobless in 2021/22. And after missing on Real i can't see where he could go.

In England there's Tottenham but their reporters claim Levy is looking for a cheap option. Man Utd doesn't seem willing to part ways with Ole.

He could go to PSG as Leonardo certainly rates him. He wanted him at Milan in 2018. But in France they claim Poch is expected to stay.

There's also Barcelona with a potential vacancy but just the thought of Conte at Barca is hilarious.

Leonardo is preparing the ground for him with the probable transfers of Hakimi and Theo.

Conte left because of RM offer. It's obvious :)

Conte left because competition would increase and our situation was wobbly and he didn't want to commit to a new contract.

Him having talks with Real Madrid was a side dish.

100m + Verratti for Hakimi.

Then watch Conte losing his shits as the deal failing  will be fun when it's happening to your club

Idiot should've just stayed :palm: I'm sure Ancelotti can't wait to get the fuck out of Everton though.

I never bought the idea of Conte at Real Madrid. He simply lacks the glamour and I think outside of Italy especially, Conte is seen to many as being too workman like. I think his known deficiencies in Europe have worked against him, never more so than at the most successful club in the CL. This is a team which has won the CL 4 times in the last 10 years - why would they hire a guy who has repeatedly under-performed in Europe with Championship winning sides?

As time goes on, I'm viewing Conte's departure increasingly harshly. I respect his immense drive to win, and I understand not wanting to stay on a sinking ship as I've been there myself in my career. But I wasn't being paid fucken €12m  Might be easy for me to say as a fan but I think he should have stayed and fought.

Despite it being an expectation, I still give Conte a lot of credit for the scudetto win. He's already adored by the majority of fans (which is no easy feat considering his past of course), and had he stayed, in spite of the adversity, he would've been seen as a hero. I know for sure I would've respected him more for it. I don't however, respect the decision to not even attempt to compete for the upcoming season.

While I think it's fair to say that Suning has severely hindered our ability to compete to even begin with, I still see Conte's actions as a white flag. We may lose big players and experienced backups, but we'll replace them with competent players and talented prospects. Everyone knows the expectations have been adjusted and it's not as if he was being asked to win the league with our primavera team.

We'll see how things pan out and the quality of our squad, relative to our rivals, heading into next season.

One last thing: I think the fact that the wage reduction applied to Conte himself is a very understated factor in all this too. Let's not forget the club asked him to cut his wages by a fifth to extend his contract.

What is so special about Conte other than his big mouth and extremely high wages? What would Leonardo do with a coach who has no chance of wining any European trophies?

I think Real was his only viable option unless PSG job somehow opens up. Even then, I think Zidane might be a better pick.

I'm grateful but still a bit bitter about him leaving in the way he did. I wouldn't mind if he had to sit one out or take an inferior gig like Tottenham or Everton.
