Had Inter played in that Conference League I want us to lose asap and I am not lying a bit. A waste of time a resource.

Group winner gains about some hundred k. What's the point of running your ass off to make others (UEFA) richer?!? Show them the middle finger and focus on the league.
Fully agreed. I have the same mentality with the EL.

To be honest, I saw the Europa League as a possible trophy that we could win and feel the same about the Coppa Italia.

With the exception of pre-season friendlies/club friendlies, I feel a football team should show up and play in every game and competition they are participating in. They should not choose to give their all in one competition and do 5/8s of very little in another.

Regarding the Europa League final that we lost in Conte's first season, I was heartbroken about losing that game and was down for approximately two weeks after the loss. I thought it was a good chance for us to build our confidence and add some silverware to our trophy cabinet.

Personally, I feel that clubs picking and choosing the competitions they do well in degrades the competiotions they elect to not play in. For example, many Serie A clubs do not take the Europa League seriously. It has a knock on effect because the fans then say that it is a shit competition that is not worth following and playing in. That kind of attitude reflects poorly on the clubs and Serie A as a whole. Some fans may think it does not make a difference but when the likes of PIF or another potential investor come along, they not only look at the profile of a club, they also look at the domestic league.

For me, playing in the Europa League was never about the prize money. It was about club pride, working on our mentality as a team, re-establishing our European pedigree and trying to win the competition: showing the rest of Europe that we were making progress and giving them notice that we were back.

I understand that UEFA are greedy but boycotting the Europa League does not reflect poorly on them and only harms the profile of the boycotting club.

Getting back to Conte, I am suprised he mentioned being happy to stay at Spurs so early in his tenure. He is three weeks in and he is already taking a shit on his new club and highlighting the gap between Spurs and the top clubs in the Premier League. We all knew that. I am not sure why he did not see and understand that when he took over. Or maybe his salary helped him turn a blind eye to this.

I also have to say that I cannot help but think about those English commentators in the Eriksen thread who actually said that the Dane coming to Inter from Spurs was a step down in his career. What a fucking insult that was. It shows how clueless and biased they are.

Honestly, though. I do not feel sorry for Conte. I hope that with every passing Spurs game, he comes to regret leaving Inter and pull out what little natural hair he has left. Conte and the English commentators mentioned above absolutely deserve each other.

Tottenham could have played with their 2nd or 3rd team and they should have still defeat Mura, who are shit, even in Slovenian championship.

Defeat Mura for what purpose? To add extra matches in the already packed schedule, to risk injury or to risk Covid while traveling cross countries? Sorry, it is smarter to lose on purpose than to win. Premier League is their real gold mine, not this; check the income difference.

You guys can laugh after Conte fails a PL match, makes sense. This is like laughing at an official friendly, not worth it.

What a choker. So great that he is not here anymore.
And Tottenham still doesn't have a bad team at all, at least is the best team in they're Europa League group.

See? Some people don't even distinguish Europa League and Conference League. That's how relevant that league is.

Imagine running your ass off to win then no one bother to remember the league name, let alone the winner  (not laughing at you, Alex, but at UEFA and their manipulating shit)

So u imply Conte and Tottenham let the opposition win? So then he is even more idiot as played Harry Kane for 90 mins
You can't lose on purpose too obvious otherwise you are penalized by UEFA. But I am 99% sure he told his players to chill and avoid injury as the 1st priority.

Professionals do need warming-up matches on daily basis, you know that right?

That's what i don't get either with his press conference. We know Conte isn't the most emotionally stable person but it's been 4 fucking games. That's fast even by Conte standards. We haven't even reached January yet so it's not like he was let down in the transfer market. What was he expecting when he joined Tottenham? That they had a great squad and they just needed his magic touch to perform? If this is what Paratici sold him on then it's gonna be explosive between them.

Euro-Conte

And it's a bit like Mourinho complaining about his bench against Venezia when they lost. Did he look what kind of bench Venezia has? Same goes here. Compare Spurs squad to Mura and maybe you should just shut the fuck up Antonio. :D

Conte leads his teams out of CL because it's too strong for them and get his teams out of Conference League because they're too strong for it. Either way it's a waste of time for them. Pure genius. Hail!

I still think that Conte did a great job here. He made our squad to believe that we can actually win the title. If you remember at the beginning of his second season here, Suning said that our aim is top 4 finish, not the scudetto. Conte united that group and made them fight for every meter on the pitch.

he also forced the players to unfuck their women from top which helped save a lot of stamina for games. otherwise we wouldn't be able to win the scudetto :)

Conte did what he should have done. We had by far the best team and not winning the scudetto would have been a giant fail. His Champions league display was a disaster both years. I dont think he did much better of a job than Spalletti, who got us into top 4 with not that good teams or even Mancini who got that 4th spot with a team that was pure shit.

I think this is an oversimplification. Sure, we had the best squad. But this club was mentally broken and had zero professionalism. There were no winning culture. Conte deserves credit for establishing that. I don't think a manager like Spalletti or Inzaghi would have been able to get us over that first hump.
