Conte did what he should have done. We had by far the best team and not winning the scudetto would have been a giant fail. His Champions league display was a disaster both years. I dont think he did much better of a job than Spalletti, who got us into top 4 with not that good teams or even Mancini who got that 4th spot with a team that was pure shit.
I agree that Spalletti did a great job in his first season, but he failed miserably to drive the team further in his second season. Also, because of Spalletti, we did one of the worst deals in Inter's history - money + Zaniolo for Nainggolan.
From the other hand, Conte definitely had a very strong squad at his disposal, but he had a big share of the building of that squad. Barella, maybe, wasn't his particular request, but Lukaku, Hakimi, Darmian were. All of them had very important roles in Inter's scudetto last season. In addition, he introduced Bastoni in first team, when the latter was supposed to go on loan somewhere.
I don't know why some people here, are acting like Inter would win a title regardless of who was a coach after Spalletti? I mean, the only secured transfer was Barella. We could have taken some failure like Pepe for 70mln or some another "nainggolan", demanded by the coach, and spent the rest of the money for other shitters.
Just for example, Mancini also brought us a 4th place, but he was responsible for transfers of Kondogbia, Eder, Perisic and Candreva. Only Pero was decent signing, the others cost us around 70mln, drained in the toilet.

Conte leads his teams out of CL because it's too strong for them and get his teams out of Conference League because they're too strong for it. Either way it's a waste of time for them. Pure genius. Hail!
I bet you can't answer this question without googling :D :

What was the last Intertoto Cup winner?

Hakimi was on Ausilio. Conte wanted Zappacosta after initially wanting Lazaro who was a failure.
Darmian was Marotta mostly. Some sort of fetish.

On Bastoni that is correct. The idea was that we had to get left sided D'Ambrosio to be Skriniar's backup and Conte said he wanted to see Bastoni first. Even so, he did name names for that spot but good on us that it all went well with Basto.

Wtf are you on about? You think Conte thought he could get Hakimi? I was on this site mentioning Hakimi and you said it was impossible and now you complain about Conte's choices?

I think this is an oversimplification. Sure, we had the best squad. But this club was mentally broken and had zero professionalism. There were no winning culture. Conte deserves credit for establishing that. I don't think a manager like Spalletti or Inzaghi would have been able to get us over that first hump.
After watching Inter these last ten year I actually understand the meaning of winning culture  Our mentality was so fucked up during that banter era it was crazy.

Yep, for sure Conte wanted Lazaro and then didn't use him at all. Lazaro was Ausilio's idea who admitted that he scouted Lazaro since he was a wonderkid in Salzburg.

He did and we never got him then. He wanted him for the Candreva spot before Spalletti was signed.
But Conte demanded him when he came.

Never liked him a a player, and despite his woeful cl record at inter , i think he made simone job a lot easier, instilled that winning mentality , showing a lot of grinta to this inter team, and i think he made an immense contribution during his tenure here
Credit when its due for mr antonio, and last night against venezia , we see a lot of hunger and determination within this team, and to be honest after that defeat against lazio , i was like, well here we go again, guarin , brechet, melo here we come

But kudos to the boys that manage to turn things around, and kudos for mr antonio.

If somehow we manage to retain the scudetto then suning need to sell the club because we really need an investment in the market to stay competitive

We still have a lot of matches, a lot of things still can go wrong , the boys need to work hard, head down and be a challenger each game, and work harder

Thanks mr antonio it was a pleasure having you as an inter coach despite your sad background as a juventino

And really looking forward to see your work at tottenham

Investment in the market will come through progression in the CL and the world coming back to normal, not a sugar daddy owner.

Making the knock outs already gives us like +20mil even ignoring match day revenues, our other commercial contracts, etc.

We need to get this club back to a financially healthy basis, and once we've done that, steady progression will get us there. A lot of the core of this team are coming into their prime, so need for expensive replacements is comparatively limited (Dzeko, RWB, GK in the next 1-2 seasons imho?)

tottenham will probably lose 3-0 cause they didnt play their game, which means he wont get his team out of the group from the fucking conference league.

CONTE NAMED COACH OF THE YEAR, EXPLAINS DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SERIE A AND PREMIER LEAGUE

epa09114411 Inter's coach Antonio Conte reacts during the Italian Serie A soccer match Bologna FC vs FC Inter Milan at Renato Dall'Ara stadium, Bologna, Italy, 03 April 2021. EPA-EFE/ELISABETTA BARACCHI

La Gazzetta dello Sport named Antonio Conte ‘Coach Of The Tear’ and the Tottenham boss explained the differences between Serie A and Premier League.

Conte won the Serie A title with Inter in 2020-21. He left the club at the end of the last season due to diverging opinions regarding the club’s development.
The former midfielder has explained many times how Inter’s plan changed after the COVID pandemic, convincing him to terminate his contract with the Nerazzurri by mutual agreement.

Conte was named ‘Coach Of The Year’ at the Gazzetta dello Sport Awards and released an interview from his home in London during the ceremony.
“My time at Inter was special, an amazing path with the request from President Zhang to bring Inter where they deserve to be,” he said.
“I am proud to have beaten Juventus, a club that used to dominate Serie A, we made an extraordinary job.”

Conte held talks with Tottenham in the summer but initially refused the job in North London. However, he accepted their offer in November, after Nuno Espirito Santo’s sacking. Spurs are still unbeaten in Premier League under Conte and are three points behind fourth-placed West Ham, but with two games in hand.
What’s the main difference between Serie A and Premier League?
“There’s a lot of tactic in Italy. Every coach is highly prepared, that’s why the intensity tends to decrease a little,” Conte said.
“In Premier League, there is intensity, but the tactical attention is not as high. Here in England, it’s easier to see one vs. one situations and moments of transition after 60 minutes, anything can happen when the teams are stretched.
“There are many duels, it’s all so nice, but sometimes you don’t feel the same pressure [as in Italy], so sometimes you risk losing the focus.”

I wonder what Conte will say when Inzaghi wins the championship with a weakened squad (Hakimi, Barella, Eriksen) on top of qualifying further in the UCL?

Sure Marotta built the foundation and Conte instilled the discipline, but his stubbornness and limitations might be disclosed for the entire world to see.
