Conte is never going to return to Inter. There’s no way he’d be able to work with that steaming pile of garbage that we call our squad (because he’s a con artist). He'll never agree to work with a budget of 0€ and we can’t afford his wage demands anyway.

I'll be happy if we sign Conte. it's an indication that the owners will fuck out of Inter and new owners with more ambitions will join soon.

Hasn't he said multiple times in the last months he wants to be closer to his family?
that's the waiting part and I believe being with family is mind game with Tottenham, unless it's his health concerned.

Ironically, the answer is Real Madrid or Manchester United.
those are as well but Man United is out of options for long time.

What has Conte shown lately which would get the interest of uniteds, reals, psgs of the world? If anything, he has proven consistently for the past decade he's a constant euro game bust. And for those clubs, euro games are everything. Okay United is at different stage, but they have a coach who's doing a good job there at the moment.

Conte doesn't have a lot of options.

PSG and Real going for Conte don't make sense to me. They are the clubs that aim to win the CL each year and Conte is exactly the type of coach they have to avoid if they want to achieve that goal.

Real Madrid has two type of voices around Florentino Perez.

The joga bonita guys who love continental success and attacking football and then you have the other guys who think that the locker room has become rotten and players are having too much fun without the results and want some authoritarian figure.
Perez prefers the authoritarian types as people, but he prefers the others in terms of style.

They were lucky with Mourinho that both things happened.
That's why they hired Capello. And fired him within a season. Twice. Despite domestic sucess.
And that's why they think Conte is a good idea. He wins them the league, gets in the players' heads, and then he fucks off.

The voices that call for such a figure at the moment aren't very expressive, but prior to Ancelotti's CL there were some murmurs there about replacing him. Now I imagine that Zidane would get another chance before they think of someone else. Maybe if Klopp is available they attempt to lure him, but they're not going for an Allegri/Conte type. And I believe they're much more likely to discuss Tuchel (too late), Allegri or

Mourinho was also in consideration but they opted for Zidane at that time.

Diego Simeone would have been their priority when it comes to this but he kinda hates their guts, so it never escalated.

Don't forget that for Real Madrid these things are irrelevant.

They wanted Ancelotti, they know Ancelotti. They don't care that he decided to rot at Everton. They understand that having a great season at Everton isn't possible and they don't discard a coach for that. They wanted Carletto and got him. And it paid dividends.
If the people who like and rate Conte because they were teammates once, want him there and there's no other similar choice that makes sense because Tuchel is at Bayern and Allegri is out of the question, they may opt for Conte of all people. It's not like they don't know it's not a very short term solution to whatever problem they diagnosed.

If they want an authoritarian asshole that's going to make players feel like shit, they'll go for Conte.
If they want a strict coach that will make the players believe they're the best in the world, they'll go for Mourinho.
If they want a coach that won't bother much and let the players do whatever they like in the pitch, they'll go for Zidane.

Real Madrid is a strange club, but typically what they do makes sense for where they want to be.

Unpopular opinion because most people hate his style but the right man for this Inter is Cholo. He's exactly the type of manager our chokers need. Sadly he isn't a realistic option.
I counter your unpopular opinion with: Mazzarri has enough grinta to do something with this squad, at least as an interim coach.

While Simeone would need to change pur formation and bring new players for new positions, it's not viable.

everyone is thinking that Conte will not return because he we don't have money for players and he don't would work with the team we have now. But i think that no one really can/want-to take Conte at the moment, only Juve and Inter could be an option. Milan, Roma... well, depends on their situation.
For us he is the best option tbh. There is no alternative to him...

because he regret it. At Inter he would have won something now. If he could go back in time he would have stayed at Inter probably, at least for another season. Or just wait for some better offer. And thats what he probably will make now. Inter, Juve, or 1 year break.

Conte some time ago: "maybe some day i will return to Inter to change again the predictions"

for me it's clear, Conte would not refuse to comeback. But he needs to work with less money which will be a challenge for him.

He's also a man who has no problem taking time out if he wants to. I think he could easily afford to wait a season and see what happens with Oaktree etc.

SACCHI: ‘CONTE BETTER OFF WITH JUVENTUS THAN INTER’
Arrigo Sacchi is excited about the prospect of Antonio Conte returning to Serie A and believes he’d be better off going back to Juventus than Inter.

The 53-year-old Italian coach mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Tottenham last week, closing a 17-month spell that ended in a rather acrimonious fashion.
The expectation is that Conte will either return to Juventus or Inter, or will take a sabbatical year to reset after a tough time with Tottenham.

Writing in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sacchi first discussed Conte’s qualities and revealed an interesting anecdote from the 1994 World Cup.
“I consider Antonio Conte one of the best coaches on the European scene and, after leaving Tottenham, his possible return to an Italian club can only please me, we would find a coach who has gained even more experience and knowledge to put at the disposal of his players.

“Antonio is someone who makes a difference on the bench, someone who leads you to win titles (Juve and Inter know something about that), someone who gives his life for football and his work. I had him as a player on the national team at the 1994 World Cup.

“Years later, when he had already quit, he confessed to me that, when he returned to his room, he would write down in a notebook all the exercises we did during training. He already had the mentality of a coach, he thought as if he were leading a team.”

Later in the column, Sacchi explained why he believes it would be better for Conte to return to Juventus instead of heading back to Inter.
“Logical that the big clubs are now lining up for him. Especially Inter and Juventus, they say. I believe that he would be better off with the Bianconeri, because he spent a lifetime in Turin, first as a player and then as a coach. He has won a lot, he is respected and loved by the people.

“When he arrived on the Bianconeri bench, Juve was coming from a black period: Antonio won the Scudetto immediately and knew how to build a team and give it a game. He left because of a misunderstanding.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if the story between him and Juve started again, provided the Bianconeri managers are not happy with what Allegri is doing. Of one fact, I repeat, I am certain: one more Conte in Italian football can only do good for the whole movement.”
I think both Marotta and Zhang would like Conte back. Not me. Especially not without Pintus.

CONTE LOCKED TOTTENHAM PLAYERS IN DRESSING ROOM IN SEARCH OF ANSWERS BEFORE HIS DISMISSAL
An extraordinary account has been given of what Antonio Conte did to try and turn the tide on his failing Tottenham career before having his contract terminated by mutual agreement on Sunday evening.

After suffering a poor run of form which saw them pick up just one win in five matches, including heavy defeats against Aston Villa, Arsenal and Manchester City in January, Conte turned to an unbelievable tactic in an attempt to re-motivate his players.

The 53-year-old decided to bestow more responsibility upon his Tottenham players, turning to them to provide answers for their lack of form after the turn of the new year.

Corriere dello Sport writes that Conte shut his players in the dressing room at the club’s training ground and locked the door behind him, forcing the squad to come up with an answer for their poor run of results.

In response, the Tottenham players decided to ask Conte to deploy a more offensive style of play, claiming they had been restricted by Conte’s defensive principles.

The reaction led to an immediate upturn in form as Spurs went on to record three wins in succession across all competitions.

However, things soon turned sour once again as the North Londoners fell to a 4-1 defeat at Leicester in the league, before losing 1-0 to Milan in the Champions League.

Shortly after, Tottenham were knocked out of the FA Cup in humiliating fashion by Championship side Sheffield United whilst Conte was back in Italy recovering from his emergency gallbladder surgery.

It is widely believed that the loss against Sheffield United was the beginning of the end for Conte at Tottenham.

This confirms that he has challenges reading a situation. Did he really need to have a crises to see that his tactics weren’t working.

You can’t think long term with a manager like Conte who himself isn’t evolving or reading situations as they arise.

Jusef, you make a very good point. And I think the danger of Conte is that the fault always lies elsewhere.

Personally, I think alot of the things he said when he fronted the media in his last presser for Spurs are on point and true. But he knew exactly what he is was getting into when he signed up to coach them so none of what has happened should be a surprise. And I would even venture to say that he was naive or misguided to think that he could be the coach to change the very things he complained about, many of which are deep rooted and historical.

“Antonio is accustomed to clashing with everyone, it’s his character,” said Vieri.

“If a club hires him, they should not expect someone happy with anything, but they know he is a severe and exigent person. It’s heavy to have him at a club, he leaves you sleepless. There are coaches like him and José Mourinho who are like hammers and demand the best from everyone at all times.

And then there are those who are happy with anything. Everyone has his view.” - Bobo
Conte is demanding but rarely takes the blame on him, unlike Mourinho.
