By saying this, Inter have no leverage in potential negotiations... so he wanted to make sure he can walk for free (just like when he joined, remember?).
Fellow Chile player Mauricio Isla is already at Flamengo with other bigger names, so he sure seems to have picked his destination.
There won't be any negotiations. No team is paying money for him, and he has no interest in walking away for free from his crazy wages here. Inter supposedly have a clause where they can terminate his contract and pay half his salary and that's almost certainly what's going to happen.
