How much we saved by paying him 4M to leave? I guess his gross salary was 10M€, so we saved like 6M? or his gross salary was lower?
I'm assuming that 4m that we are paying him is net as well

I'd assume so but the good thing is with the tax reduction it's only little over 5m gross.

So we still save like 4.5M€ which is better then nothing. But he relay wanted from Inter to pay him every penny of salary difference. To bad, we cant afford for players like that, to simply bench them till the end of contract.

I get the sentiment but it s kind of hypocritical to hate on players when they dont respect their contracts and vice versa when we dont want to respect it we shit on the player for wanting what he legally has a claim to...
Again for most players a club is just their employer I m not sure many of us would just leave millions on the table that we legally have a claim to just cause our employer does not want us any more.

Gds saying he got payed 3.5M, which is at least a little better than 4M.

Guarro - Inter , gross the exit of Vidal will cost the club 5.24 million euros.

So much this.

At least we had the clause in the contract. No hard feelings really. It wasn't a completely successful signing but Vidal brought the winning culture and attitude which have probably brought something extra to this squad, to its midfielders (I'm looking at Barella). And that goal against Juve. We go the Scudetto which was the task. Only thing was the cost of all it but it is what it is.

Hopefully directors learn something from this transfer.

then again it's not theirs money if they dont work, you get paid for what you work, so should PSG ask for money back from Ramos as he didnt do his job, or should club X ask for a payment from player X as well when he forces his way out, because club dont have advantage in negotiation and gets les money?
I mean it's a grey topic, because it' not always simple

Good riddance. Thanks for the goal against juve and a few solid performances. You'll be remembered for your CL red card and the reason why we didn't complete the Tonali deal.

I am glad he is gone. And I am not going to thank him for sparingly doing what was expected of him every time he took to the pitch.

More than the goal against Juve, I'll remember those 2 moments from his CL performances.

First was the red card against Madrid, which ensured we exited CL, and helped focus on Serie A entirely.

Second was the last ditch block against Diaz away to Liverpool, which helped maintain the clean sheet and get that unlikely victory.

I am glad he's gone but wouldn't change a thing, yea we lost Tonali (maybe) but we win the league, maybe it's not directly because of him, but Conte said it many times, we need to build winning mentality and he is that kind of player that have won it everywhere and has big mouth so I'm sure he was pumping players in locker room and on bench constantly...
