Yeah I feel the same. Vidal is the best shot for Scudetto race. A race which is pretty unique for us given our near-history banter era time. I've said this before that this Scudetto "opportunity" came a year too early, if you can say that. It was not probably planned as realistic that we have a shot at Scudetto (real shot) already this season.
Plan was probably to establish a great core this season with the young players, accompanied with some vets giving their input to the growth of the youngers. Then summer 2020 add reinforcements to give Juve the fight of the lives for the Scudetto. Yes, we are not giving the fight of Juve's life for Scudetto now but we are there fighting. This opportunity arrived because Juve is weaker than normal with the coach change and a bit uncertain future (forced to sell at some point anyway given they cannot raise their revenues fast enough).
So Vidal would be this "one chance one opportunity" kind of signing, one could think. But in reality, our plan is to be at Juve's place in the future so this shouldn't be one chance stuff. We should have these chances in the near-future too given Suning can raise our profits enough.
It's a tough spot for our management for sure because then there's this loose cannon in Conte who obviously wants to win every match his team takes place and doesn't accept defeats. I'd be fine with either Vidal or Eriksen knowing that the latter won't give same immediate impact Vidal would.
