And here I thought we might get DiMarco.

Inzaghi wanting Young to stay is a signal of intent (or lack thereof) and points to how fucked we are next season.

Fuck sake.

Overall he’s been a very decent signing IMO and his first 6 months in particular were very strong. But there’s no doubt age caught up with him this past season.

Frustratingly, and unlike our other old or unwanted players, the circumstances for his exit are actually perfect.

Firstly, his contract is done, so we don't need to pay him to leave like Godin. Secondly, there's very strong interest from Watford so there's actually a clear and desirable destination for him to go to.

Young is obviously in the twilight of his career and he had one last hurrah at Inter, culminating in a scudetto. This story has already had a happy ending. So just fucking let him go and conclude things on a high note for all parties involved. If he left tomorrow, I would remember him fondly as a good backup who was a pleasant surprise and positively contributed. If he stays, I fear he will only continue his downward trajectory and become a source of frustration and a liability on the pitch.

Despite the reports of Inzaghi wanting him, I suspect it has just as much to do with the club preferring to spend €5m gross on another years wages, instead of €10m for a Dimarco transfer. Fucking animals.

At this point I'm placing my hopes more on Young to reject the offer in favor of returning to Watford, instead of our management with their diabolical and poor-executed cost-cutting.

Can't believe any transfer news, but Lazaro for Kostic was what we needed. Kostic + DiMarco at LWB would have been more than decent, could save Youngs and Perisic wages ( 3+4= 14 gross millions). One sent free, Ivan sold for 10-15millions.

Inter wanting Young to stay probably has to do with them wanting to get rid of Perisic. Perisic gross wage is 10m€. If Young accepts 2m€ net wage, with Growth Decree the gross wage is 3m€. So there's a big difference. And there's a big difference even if Perisic spreads his salary with one year extension so that annual gross wage would lower to let's say 8m€.

I also hope all this won't happen and we go with Dimarco and the new LWB. We let Young go and we sell Perisic.

It's rumoured we have offered 1.5m net to Young. The issue with the prospect of Young signing a new contract isn't the financial aspect. It's the sporting aspect. Young looked done in most matches last season. Imagine how it's gonna be with Young being one year older. Disaster.

I'd rather reuse Lazaro to backup for Hakimi, Darmian to rotate on the left with Dimarco, if we are really broke.

Extending Young is wasting money for no added value.

Of course. Financial aspect is the one which has led to Inter management making this offer. 1.5m€ sounds very modest and only shows how desperate we are. We are probably going to cash in on Dimarco then. Or even worse, bring Dimarco in and not buy a new LWB. :D

We couldn't get 15 for Perisic even after he won CL with bayern as a starter.
Be realistic guys....

Time for Eriksen to learn how to make more friends

By readin any intrerviews and knowing italian arrogance i would be surprised if Eriksen and Barella werent quite close (as both said so). Barella praised Eriksen as a symbol even before eriksen played regularly.

i saw a report saying he's going to Burnley. Watford signed Rose, so I dont think they need a LB anymore.

Di Marzio said Young chose not to renew. Rano on the other hand has.
