Well Atalanta certainly came to play today. Much more than they did a few months back.

Balanced half, even if we basically can't hold the ball for too long. A day screaming for creativity in the middle. Maybe 2 creative players in all honesty blivious:

Here's the interesting thing. For example, look at the pass he received when he got called for handball. Why is that entry pass bouncing above knee height? Why when it's lukaku playing, the pass is firmly and rolling on the ground? I'm a bit confused by this tbh.

Similarly, it appears as though the midfield and wingbacks are too familiar with lukaku's 2-3 touches before a layoff, whereas snachez and lautaro try to play flicks on 1 touch, causing a disconnect. So this can simply be an adjustment where those guys have to hold on to the ball a little longer.

Lastly, position on the field. The forwards are actually receiving the entry pass a little too close to goal. It should be maybe 5-7M deeper (closer to our goal), because this brings the CB out and leaves a ton of space behind.

Today has been very enlightening to me how we play.
