I want us to take this game like a final. There is slightly a mathematical chance to already be confirmed top8 if we win this one, regardless of the next two games.

Inzaghi is doing wonders. Leverkusen are finding their form, so I do not expect an easy game, tbh I'll take a draw. Just don't lose.

I love the fact that we come here without much pressure (clearly the opposite as some previous years with that shitty format of only 4 teams in a group)
This is the real test, if we can win i'll say we have a chance to finish #1 or #2 after Liverpool.

So many teams just behind us playing each other.

Dortmund-Barca
Arsenal-Monaco

Then Atalanta will host Real.

This round, this match might be the most important 90 minutes of the season. I feel Bayer is winnable . We can contain them. We can isolate Wirtz . St Pauli went with 343 and held them fairly well as a basement club fighting for relegation.

Win this and we will finish the group right behind Liverpool which would be massive .

It will be interesting to see if Xabi Alonso sticks with back 3 or he switches to 4-1-4-1 like he did against Bayern.

Don't have one.
For me, the most interesting thing to see will be if inzaghi tries to copy gasp to some extent and aggressively man marks them all over the pitch. They were pretty clueless against that approach in Europa League final. I doubt it will happen though coz that requires a lot of energy, it will probably be some mix between low block and counterattacking stuff. It's our go-to strategy against more quality opposition.

I doubt it. Inzaghi will go with full team against Leverkusen. The boys had a good rest given the postponed game against Fio, they played on Friday and the next game is on Monday against Lazio.

Probably the toughest match we have left on paper. Draw is fine for me, but a win would let us kick up our feet for a while in this competition and allow us to rotate more aggressively in the last matches.

I do have the feeling he will rest one of our top5.

5 days without match before Lazio game. And then Udinese in Coppa. This one should be absolute priority and then there is enough time before Lazio.

Statistically a match between the two most unbeatable clubs since the start of the 2023/24 season.

Since then, we've lost five times: Sassuolo * 2, Milan at home, Bologna in the Coppa and against Atletico whilst Leverkusen have only lost to Atalanta in the Europa League final, to Liverpool in CHL and to Leipzig in the league. They haven't lost a home match in 18 months.
Inter and Leverkusen being the two most in-forms team in all of Europe over a nearly two year period... who would've thought that possible only a couple of years ago.

Predicted Sky lineup:

The good news is that Bayer have a striker injury crisis with Patrik Schick, Amine Adli, Victor Boniface and Jonas Hofmann all injured - or at least were at the weekend. Their only fit striker is the 17-year-old Ukrainian Artem Stepanov and the midfielder Nathan Tella played at centre forward against St. Pauli. So if they can contain Wirtz then they might be good for another goalless draw,

Which I would readily take along with some serious rotation. Lazio at the weekend is more important.

Lazio won't be this weekend, it's gonna be played on Monday. 6 days is plenty of rest.

Anyway in Inzaghi we trust.

Having a baller like Barella on the bench is a cheat code. The line up is okay, I believe we shall start slow and defensive and then add Lautaro and Barella into the game.
