I don't wanna get into the politics of it, there's a good reason to want either team to lose.

So... tactics!!!

First, how do Bayern want to play it? Press Juve's back 3 or drop the wingers back onto Juve's wingbacks?
I imagine they'd want to press the front 3, which then gives Juve's wingbacks a decision to make; either play conservatively to stop the Bayern front 3, or have the flanks all to themselves and run riot. If it were me, I'd position one of the WBs very aggressively and keep the other one a bit more conservative.

Then there's the midfield battle, Bayern will want to press up, push Juve's midfield 3 back, and dominate the ball. Juve just want that gap in front of the Bayern defence, which Gio/Vidal/Marchisio will run into to create chances.

As for Pirlo vs. Kroos, they'll slip from one another often. Pirlo will push too high up for Kroos, Kroos will go too wide for Pirlo, whoever takes advantage will win it.

nice points.

I think best thing to do is do what you say, keep one defensive minded wingback and one agressive. It doesnt just have to be Lichsteiner, he can take turns with Asamoah.

For the Kroos-Pirlo battle itll pretty much be cat and mouse. But with Pirlo that one moment you let go off him, he can really punish you.

I think the key battle will be in midfield. And Rube's mid is the better one by far.

Bayern have to exploit the flanks, as back 3s are vulnerable to width. but their wingers cut inside 99% of the time, so that's a pro for jube, that theyre not conventional wingers.

Not only that, but with Muller's form, I have the feeling Bayern is going to make the grave mistake of playing Muller on the wing. He's not a winger, and will fail to add any width and pace on the flanks.

The only reason I will watch this game is because I think this will be a good match and a fantastic tactical battle, much more so than any of the others.

As for support, Fuck Bayern but Fuck Juve A LOT MORE

Ok, so I got a few minutes in between classes, and its time to start playing chess with these 2 teams.

So we all know Kroos is gonna mark Pirlo. Pirlo is of course going to counteract that by moving forward out of Kroos' marking influence. That means it will leave Juve's back 3 exposed. Bayern has width to exploit that.

BUT, with Pirlo forward with Marchisio and Vidal, Bayern's central midfield will not be able to cope. Meaning the marking of Giovinco will be left to one of the center backs rather than the defensive midfielders. This means that Giovinco will pull out of position one of the center backs forward, and Vucinic/Quag will make the run behind them and score.

Yea, I am kind of half trolling and half serious. But any thoughts on tactics? Key battles? What is the key to each team winning?

Martinez is very important player to keep the game ticking. Very good defensively but most important of them all is the best alround midfielder (outside of Barca). Bastian Schweinsteiger. Heart of the team. He is one of the best players in the world and he is the KEY player for Bayern in this tie.

Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio vs Bastian, Kroos, Martinez will be one of the best midfield battle this season. Juve have got superb work rate in Vidal and Marchisio and playmaking ability of Pirlo but Juve have got Technically superior players imo. Bastian can move to attack and defense all day long, Martinez positioning and reading of the game is just brilliant and Kroos is very good attacker.

They have Ribery, Shaqiri, Muller, Rooben to play out wide which is better than anything Juve can put (except they don't play with wingers at all) and also I rate Bayern strikers higher than Juve's.

Little to choose in the defense with slight edge towards Juve but there is nothing much to choose tbh.

Hoping for Bayern win.

.

:yao: By far? You think Bastian Schweinsteiger, Martinez, Gustavo, Kroos are by far inferior to Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio. You hate Bayern so obviously it is clouding your judgement.

Pirlo can be man marked, ask Ji Sung Park how to do it. Pirlo completed only 21 passes in that game but important thing is you need a player with very good discipline.

And further they go, much more money they win. So fuck them, I hope Bayern extirpates them.

ugh yeah? theyre all shit. all 4 of them combined dont even have the amount of talent Pirlo has in his pinky. How many of them have won World Cups?

With Pirlo, hes going to be man marked in his zone, but will move away from it. Thats what he did with Chelsea, is he joined the strikers in attack. And look what happened to Chelsea.

:palm:

Cheering for Juventus, who will qualify to later stage of CL, earn a lot of money, then buy better players than we can afford, and then dominate the league for years is definitely a great idea!

How many world cups argument

How many did Messi win? Torres won 2 Euro cups and 1 WC.

Torres was only crucial to one of those. Pirlo was one of the leaders of Italy in 2006. Don't forget his assist that had Germany crashing out in their own home during the semi-finals. Schweinsteigger was there as well.

Messi has won Champions League and scored twice in both those finals, has broken every record thinkable to man. Schweinsteigger and Kroos's Germany is way better than Messi's crappy Argentina.

Argentina has world class strikers, and a second rate midfield and completely crappy defence. That's not Messi's fault. Schweinsteigger has had multiple chances to win Euros, World Cups, CLs, with a great squad, he hasnt done anything.

Has always choked in major games. Martinez can't even make the Spain bench. Kroos is too inexperienced.

The only midfield that can beat Juve's is Barca, and it showed during Euros 2012 final. Would love to see a 4-0 thrashing of Rube in the final

I dont recall Martinez scoring a goal in a Euro final. And Juan Mata is called up against France. Where's Javi Martinez? He's supposedly going through the best form of his career. He can't even make the bench.

Even though they might not be a starter every game, Ill guarantee you Marchisio and Vidal would at least make the bench for Spain. Pirlo goes without saying.

Vidal > Martinez, Marchisio > Gustavo, Pirlo >>>>>>>>>>>>> Schweinsteigger

And Javi Garcia who is having worst season is called up. I don't rate players based on their National team call ups.

Martinez is playing for one of the biggest club in the world and arguably 2-3rd best. That's more than enough.

Btw, at your shit logic. Martinez is a DM. Even if plays 100 finals, odds of his scoring will be as low as it can be.

yep shows how much del bosque values martinez. or del bosque doesnt know shit... its not like hes won a world cup with this squad, and euros back to back ;).

He can play for whatever club he wants. Juve's defence and midfield is way better than Bayern. Defence + midfield is how you win CL.

Bayern has good wingers, and a generally good attacking third, but they'll fail to break down the defence, especially with Rube's great wbacks.

And Bayern's CF will be completely outcrowded by 3 centre backs. They won't have a proper reference point.

They're fucking pieces of shit, who recruit traitors and egoistic faggots like Robben and Ribery amongst their ranks.

Not to mention Bundesliga is getting all those co-efficients, just because 90% of their entire league's revenue goes to buying players for these pricks, and still they can't win anything. The rest of their league is a joke.

People call PSG, and Man City, money clubs, these pricks are the true money club.

I enjoyed our comeback win 3-2 in their own home, more than I did in the final.

Well they are big spenders but so is Barca..Real, Manu, Chelsea, Juve.. and basically most top class clubs today.
So I will just stick to hating the real scum, which is Milan and Juve. Plus, them succeeding might lure better players to the league, but mainly to Juve, do you really want to see them dominating the league for many more years to come? Cause I don't..

I care about Inter's future, not the league's. As a top club, we should aim to finish in top 3 atleast, if we don't manage that, we don't deserve to be in CL and would just embarrass the club there.

Just wondering ninuk, where did your hatred for Bayern come from? What is it that you dislike so much about them? I hate barca for obvious reasons but I can't see why anyone would hate Bayern as much as you do (wanting juBe, yes JUBE to defeat them), to me they appear really arrogant and sometimes make me want to puke, but overall are a fair team, without the Spanish cheating and debt. But everyone has their story... What is yours?

i explained it in the post above interista's ;).

They represent everything that's wrong with football, monopolizing revenue, they just keep spending and spending.

And because of their budget bundesliga gets points.

At least with Rube cunts, Serie A gets some points when they win. Bayern's wins make ours look like nothing. As if though winning Serie A is a joke, because of these stupid ass co-efficients that will soon rank England behind Bundesliga as well.

Because a league is as good as its top performer according to UEFA.

Not to mention I have personal disdain for some of their players. Not gonna throw any names out there. *cough* shaqfucker *cough*

don't worry without pirlo, theyre half a team. even though they got some great players, he organizes everything.

stop and think about that for a second.
