There's a lot more new Belgian talents coming indeed. A few year youngers than the players you've listed: Adnan Januzaj (16, best player with Man.Utd. youth), Zakaria Bakkali (17, most promising name from PSV), Matthias Bosschaerts (16, just signed a prof-contract with Man.City), Charly Musonda Jr. (16, biggest talent in the world of that age together with Halilovic) etc.

In the Belgian League the best players are IMO:
- Dennis Praet: 18 years old, Anderlecht. Central midfielder with an unbelievable vista and passing. Only lacks power, he's a small guy but he was the most important player of Anderlecht in their best period (before new year).
- Cheikhou Kouyaté: 23, Anderlecht. Center back. He's strong and very fast. The best defender in our league together with Kanu of Standard (who is another type, more a leader, a very strong player who twice a season makes a red card-worthy foul)
- Matias Suarez: 25 years old, Anderlecht. Winger who can play as a (shadow) striker. Great technique and vista and also quick. The only Argentinian player of Anderlecht who can make the difference at a higher level (fuck Biglia) also Golden shoe winner in 2011. He normally went to CSKA Moscow but they cancelled the transfer due to problems with his knee (who are solved now)
- Dieumerci Mbokani: 27 years old, Anderlecht. Striker who is fysically an absolute beast. Very complete striker (good in the air, strong, fast, scores often). Has been awarded as Golden shoe this year.
- Silvio Proto: 30 years old, Anderlecht. Best goalkeeper in the league, but he is a fucking cunt. He can't handle it when fans of the other team are shouting at him. He's always very nervous when he plays before our curva in Liège. Last season there was a protest for our directors and we threw a lot of pyro on the pitch (the match has been stopped, just like Inter-AC Milan in the CL a couple of years ago) and Proto was going mental. After the incidents, Anderlecht gave away their 0-1 lead into a 2-1 defeat.

- Thorgan Hazard: 20 years old, Zulte Waregem. On loan from Chelsea and younger brother of Eden. Winger who can play as an attacking midfielder. Good vista, passing and shot. Not so quick as Eden but he has a higher work-rate.
- Junior Malanda: 18 years old, Zulte Waregem. Central midfielder and he's enormous. A tank like they say. Has to work on his passing IMO.

- Imoh Ezekiel: 19 years old, striker. Standard Liège. Quickest player in Belgium I think. He's first complete year in the league and he did very well. Played in the Nigerian second division last year but he performed very well. Scored 16 goals and was IMO our best player.
- Michy Batshuayi: 19 years old, striker. Standard Liège. Great technique and he's also fast. Has even more talent than Ezekiel but he's inconsistent. One match great, one match awful. Did well this season with 11 goals if i'm right.
- William Vainqueur: 24 years old, central midfielder. Standard Liège. Fulham is chasing him and I can understand why. He's someone who can keep the ball in the midfield and has a good passing and vista. But which i appreciate the most is that he wins a lot of possession (I don't know how to say this in English.. Kevin could help me maybe, I mean "balverovering"). Same story as Batshuayi, a lot of talent but so inconsistent.

- Lior Refaelov: 27 years old. Winger/Attacking midfielder. Club Brugge. I love this player. Really nice to see, 2-footed, great technique and vista and also quick. But again, he can't play well regulary.
- Victor Vazquez: 26 years old. Attacking midfielder. Club Brugge. Some of you may know him because he was once a talent at Barcelona. Played in the youth with Messi and Piqué. Great vista and technique, but it seems he can't play 90 minutes because his stamina is not that good.
- Maxime Lestienne: 20 years old. Winger, Club Brugge. What a fantastic player he is. Quick, good finishing, good cross, great technique. The boy has it all. Left-footed but he can play on the left or the right wing. Called up for the Belgiam team and I think he will be our future right-winger, with Eden Hazard on the left and De Bruyne in the middle.
- Carlos Bacca: 27 years old. Striker, Club Brugge. I don't like him but I don't dare to leave him out of the list because the Colombian guys will screw me otherwise. :trollol:
He's fast and scores very often. I'm not convinced because he's not that good in the air and his technique is not great.

- Ilombe Mboyo: 26 years old. Striker, AA Gent. Kevin will now him better than me but I like the guy. Very complete striker, I'd compare him with Mbokani. Not easy to handle but a great football player. Will probably go to Anderlecht or Norwich.

- Jelle Vossen: 24 years old. Striker, RC Genk. Very consistent striker. High working-rate and scores every year +/- 20 goals. Not really quick, strong or a great technique but a very clever player. Would be a good striker for teams like Atalanta, Sampdoria, Genoa etc. The Italian league would fit him perfectly I think.

Is there any Anderlecht fans in here? Is there any truth to the rumours that den Brom might be replaced by Besnik Hasi?

Haha sorry mate. I've listed him as Belgian because he always played here with Anderlecht. He didn't choose yet though. :)

@ Fapuccino: No, the Sporting Director (Anderlechts Branca) Van Holsbeeck has already said Van den Brom will stay because they're very happy with him. But it's a public secret that Hasi will replace him when he leaves.

DM_ you meant ball recuperation with Vainqueur.

Yes Mboyo is a very good player but only blossomes under Fernandez, he was scoring goals before Fernandez, but now he makes the difference as well. But he's definitely not good enough to chase top clubs. Fulham/Norwich/.. Teams like those should be his next step.

But oh well, Anderlecht will snatch him up anyway :yao:

Yes thanks mate. God my English sucks. :genius:

I agree with you about Mboyo. Good striker for a lower team in a big league. I'd love to see him go to the Premier League. I hope he'll stay the third striker for the Belgian team, maybe he can improve more when he gets his transfer.

A transfer to Anderlecht would be shit. The guy definitely needs a more difficult league.

Hard game today against Standard, yet a draw was more suited the game, but in the end Gent was a bit more better and deserved the win based on the second half. Fernandez is such a boss coach. Respect to Standard though, yet I don't understand why Vainqueur had to play lower in the second half?

Kagé - Mboyo is just pure class for Belgium. I hope for next season we can hold hem. We would have a much better team if so, perhaps convince El Ghanassy to return from his loans?

------------------------- Boeckx -------------------------
New RB --------- Arzo ------------ Zuka -------- Maréval
---------------- Hubert -------- Thijs -------------------
Kagé ------------------ Mboyo ------------------ Souma/El Gha
----------------------- New Striker ---------------------

Disagree with your point that Gent deserved the win. At half time we should've scored at least 2 goals. There are some saying the match was fixed (lots of people betted halftime X, fulltime 1). I really can't believe why we played so terrible in the second half. But IMO, none of the teams will get decent results in Europe. Too much lack of quality (which is the same for Genk I think, last year they were just so lucky with the draw)

Mboyo won't stay mate, he's too good for Gent IMO. He has to make a transfer now, otherwise he'll maybe seen as "too old".

Well, not Gent's fault Mpoku can't score. Tbh, Gent was bad the first half. The sub Vander Brugge did magic for us, since his stamina and running made Vainqueur work more than with Lopez's case.
Gent deserved the win based on second half, the pressure, Kage on fire, shots from Mboyo,.. First half surely Standard, but second, Gent.

Will be a hard match in Liege, but I see Gent able to score there.

And don't know. Fernandez can convince him to stay. Either way he won't go cheap.

Ofcourse it's not your fault but for me it wasn't a good match. In the second half at some moments I felt even bored (just as Inter these days...).

The Europe-ticket is yours now. I think there will be lots of protests after the match.

Never underestimate Standard at home.

I just hope Zuka and Nahayo are in good condition, fuck Arzo with his inconsistency
Gent's weakness is on the right, both our RB's are pretty weak.

Yeah, maybe if Mpoku will reach his normal level we can take profite of that. But otherwise I don't see how we can score 2 goals with a clean sheet.

And after this glorious victory, our fucking president decides to fire our coach (who brought the team from the 12th place into Europe and who is very popular under the fans) and to hire a new coach without any experience from Israel where we have never heard of. Unbelievable.

Fuck M'poku. Damn what an arrogant son of a bitch he is. Seems like a douche that joins Anderlecht. And told you that Standard at home is not the same as away.

Deserved victory, nothing was good with Gent.

And indeed, Duchatelet is completely :chan:

Replacing your succestrainer by a complete stranger whom nobody heard of. Liege will be furious once again!

I gotta ask, what's the deal with the league standing in the Belgian league? Heard somewhere that somebody can be first in the end, but they still play qualifications for CL/EL between Belgian teams???

No, the winner of Play-off 2 plays against the 4th of Play-off 1 for the EL. The first 2 go to the CL. The 3th to the EL. Don't ask me who has to play qualifications.

Okay, in here we deal with a system called play-offs. There are currently 3 play- offs, but first there 30 matches to be played. Against each team in the competition, After these 30 matches there are play-offs

Play - Off 1 : Teams who ended from places 1-6 in normal competition, fighting for Title, C.L spots( #1, #2) and Europa League(#3,#4, Cup winner)spots.
Play Off 2 : Divided in 2 pots. Play - Off 2A and Play-Off 2B. Places 7-14 (Those 8 teams are splitted in 2 competitions)
-----------------> The winner of Play - Off 2A will play a match against the winner of Play -Off 2B.
---------------------> The winner of the Play - Off 2 Final, will play a match for an European spot against the #4 Of Play - Off 1

Play - Off 3 : The clubs that ended #15 and #16 in the regular competition, play 5 matches to determine who will relegate to Second Division and who will play extra barrages against 3 teams from Second Division.

So basicly. This year it was

PO 1 : Anderlecht, Zulte, Club Brugge, Genk, Standard and Lokeren
PO 2A : Gent, Mons, Lierse and Kortrijk
PO 2B : Leuven, KV Mechelen, Charleroi and Waasland-Beveren
PO 3 : Cercle Brugge and Beerschot (who are declared bankrupt)

Gent won the PO2 final against Leuven, and had to play against the #4 of PO1 : Standard. Standard won and have the last European ticket.

Cercle won PO3 and now is playing matches against teams from second division

So they play another competition in order to stay in First Division (against Westerlo, Mouscron and Woluwe)

The #1 of Second Division (KV Oostende is directly placed in the First Division)

Capiche?

Mpoku is arrogant yeah, but god I love him. The guy's just so talented. His technique is just superb.

Yeah the first protests are already begun. He has brought himself in big problems.
